I think I read about them on here. Can someone tell me how they work? Are they easy to get in and out? My dd is 14 ... will she need adult or child size? She really complains that her ears hurt when we fly. I am hoping these will help!

We have used these a few times and sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. Your DD would need adult ones at 14. They are easy to get in and get out. You just stick them down in your ears. We bought ours at WalMart. They have both sizes there. Our Pediatrician told us that the best thing was to take a dose of Sudafed before we fly. DH says that works best. My ears dont ever hurt so I am going by what he says.

They didn't work for me. Sudafed is a decongestant and I believe you must ask the pharmacist for it even though it is not a prescription medicine. Fortunately I only fly a couple of times a year because I get excruciating pain in my ears. I have found that taking Sudafed for a few days in advance of flying helps.

I take the sudafed and use the earplanes, I think they really work and my kids use them too. Get the adult size, they screw into your ears,simple to put in. Be sure to put them in before take off and keep them in until the plane levels off. The you can take them out if you like and put them back in before the plane starts to descend for landing. I bought them recently at kmart but most drugstore chains have them.
