Does anyone know where I can find children's earplanes in Southwestern Ontario? I have looked a few drugstores and even called CAA, but all I can find is adult ones. We fly out in two days.......

We got ours at Walmart in the pharmacy. I had asked at Zehrs and they could have ordered kids earplanes for us, as they only carried adult.
They worked fantastic! :goodvibes

Ummmmm... what are earplanes????? :confused3

They are soft silicone ear plugs with a ceramic pressure regulator, to help protect against ear pain in flight. I used them last time, and I thought they really helped!

Where in Southern Ontario are you? Shopper Drug Mart carries them as well (in Life Brand). If they don't, just ask the pharmacist, and they can order them direct from the wholesaler for you. The adult ones are generally carried at Walmart and Zellers and Loblaws, but if you require the children's ones, they need to be ordered in. (I rep them, that's why I know).

Now that I've read this thread,

I didn't know that there were Earplanes for
children, I thought that one size fits all.

Can anyone tell me what ages the childs Earplanes
are for?
My DS is 11 years old, do you think he could
wear the Adult Earplanes.

I hope this question is OK, Don't mean to take over thread, Thanks.:goodvibes

Shopper Drugmart Life brand are $6.99 and if they don't have any on the shelf ask-they usually have some out back. I've even had one shoppers call another and put them on hold for me!

Children's Ear Canals are generally smaller than an adults, so the fit really depends on the child. Some 11yr olds are big kids, others like mine are tiny.
Even some adults have smaller ear canals and can't fit regular large ear plugs (me included).

Can I get them at Shoppers in Winnipeg? I have been to 2 without any luck. Should I ask at the pharmacy? (need children size) TIA

Definitely ask-if they don't have the "Earplanes" brand ask for the life brand-exactly the same but cheaper

thanks for this info!:thumbsup2

We were wondering how we would deal with our kids 4 and 2 yrs for the ear pressure. I only thought that they came in adult sizes. But as usual, the Dis comes through to answer all our questions.:rotfl:

Yup! They carry it in Life Brand in the Eye/Ear Care section (by the contact lens solution). If they are out of stock at all, the nearest Real Canadian Superstore or Zellers will have it.

I have worked at SDM and Pharmaplus in winnipeg. If they do not show them on the shelf, they will order them in for you, no problem. It usually takes a few days to get them in.

I JUST bought some this morning at the Shoppers on Portage Ave at Burnell. They have a lot on the shelf, both adult and child. $7.99 and they are the Life brand.
