Hi Everyone

Please excuse this dumb question but I am very new to all this:confused:
I have recently just joined Virgin Australia's Velocity Flyer programme, and Im confused about earning points.

Can anyone please tell me if I am able to earn points for family members or is it only myself and my partner since he has Velocity card as well.

Your help on making things clearer for me would definitely relieve my headache after going through all the confusing terms and conditions lol
:confused::confused::confused:

They have have their own velocity card too to earn points. Something I wish I knew before our last trip :(

Oh ok so hubby has to have a card too but what about the kids? Surely they cant have one? Can we earn points for them?

Kids under 2 can't join because most of the time they fly as lap babies.....once they are over 2 they can join and start earning points :goodvibes

Don't think you can earn points on their behalf

Once the kids join, they earn points then you can transfer into your account.

Virgin has a family pooling points option you link all the cards you all need a number and then nominate 1 person to get all the points and status credit, for us it's DH as he gets points for flying for work.

We are all members. The kids have frequent flyer memberships with bothQantas and Virgin. They have had their Qantas ones since I started paying for seats at age 2.

WOW!! Thanks heaps guys, they dont need those awful T&C's when you all just explained it so well. I best be getting frequent flyer cards for all 3 children then lol.
Love the family pooling that is a great idea.
THANKS EVERYONE HAPPY TRIP PLANNING :thumbsup2

DH has FF through the credit card but the kids and I signed up through Woolies Every Day Rewards for free - points on WEDR are only earned on Woolies etc purchases. Thank goodness it was free because the FF through the Gold Visa/Amex comes at a hefty annual fee.

Thank you Marlea98, we recently pondered this too and it seems like a great way to earn points on regular everyday purchases, and let them gradually build up.

Not only can you pool the points, but the status credits as well. Win!
