Hi everyone!
This is my first PTR (considering I just joined a couple weeks ago, not so bad!
) I'm trying to contain my excitement and the desire to spill my guts about EVERYTHING in two posts. Trying. To. Take. It. SLOOOW!
I am going to need lots of advice and perhaps some hand holding, so if you are able, please join me! I can't promise to be entertaining, but I need some new DIS friends!
Going by what I have learned about these things, introduction of my lovely cast is the first post, right?
Me (Stacey) 31
I'm a mommy, wife, and teacher of some cute 3rd and 4th graders. Life is certainly not boring. I don't get a whole lot of adult conversation between school and home, so at times I get a little stir crazy, but I love it! This is a picture of my daughter and I (I'll introduce her later)
Scott 32
The dad! Scott and I got married young. I was only 21 and he was 22. We honeymooned on the Disney Wonder the first year it sailed. We also stayed at Wilderness Lodge for a few days. It was a great vacation, but really cold. Even in the Caribbean! Everyone was wearing coats on the cruise much of the time.
Sophie 7 (will be almost 8 on the trip)
She is in 2nd grade and full of spunk around the family. In public, a little bit shy. She's also a gymnast. This year she practices in the gym 7 hours a week.
Ethan 5 (will be almost 6 on the trip)
Ethan and Sophie are 2 years and 1 day apart! They will both be about a month shy of their bdays on the trip. Ethan is in kindergarten, and just the sweetest thing. He does have a hard time being the middle child and acts out for attention a bit, but he's definitely the most snuggly of the bunch!
Finn 3
Finn is short for "Griffin," but no one calls him that. It's either "Finn" or "Griffie." He is the baby of the family. Sophie is his little babysitter. He's a lot of fun, and I can't wait to bring him back to Mickey! (he was 6 months last time we were there). Sorry about the thank you card picture. It was the most recent I had!
The other two in our immediate party are my mother in law and father in law. However, that's not it. There are about 30 people TOTAL going on this trip with us!
I'll explain all that in my next installment!
Please join me! Remember, the no adult interaction thing? I need some friends! Even if they are cyber friends!

I have always wanted to stay at Coronado Springs! The Wonder was really cool. Literally.
We got married a week before Christmas in 1999, so when we honeymooned, we were at DW right before Christmas and on the ship for Christmas. On a VERY positive note, the parks were EMPTY. Wait times for rides were 10 minutes or less. For Christmas week, this is AMAZING! The reason? It was the week before the Millennium. I guess everyone figured that if they were going to go to DW during that break, they were going for New Year's. Worked for us! #1 regret is not getting our faces on those plaques at Epcot. We hemmed and hawed over and it and didn't do it.
The bad part of the trip was the temperature. It was COLD. In our youngness, neither of us had discovered weather channels. We didn't pack coats. So, we bought sweatshirts and layered up. On the ship, it was the first time since the cruise began that sweatshirts were ever needed at
Your children are gorgeous!
I love, love their names. I just told my DH that I wanted one more little boy so I could name him Finn. What? That's not a good reason to have another baby!
And I am SOOOOO excited to try this place! We stayed at Wilderness Lodge for our Honeymoon and then went complete opposite with All Stars in 2008. Now we'll try the moderate route! Hopefully we like it, because it's the most cost effective place with a family of 5!
I wanna stay there SOOOO badly!! I really tried to stay there this trip, but the rest of the group wanted to save money and stay at Pop. Since we were booking on a Pin code that I had, I didn't feel right about forcing them to change, so we just stayed at Pop! Good for you to NOT feel like you "had" to stay with the group!
