Earmuffs in June? Update 7/5 Trip Report Link!

Cute pictures! I have to agree - the picture of Sophie and your FIL is adorable and could do some hefty marketing for Disney! :)

So cute, how old was she? Want to take my dgd this dec but she does not like anything on her hair.

Hey Stacey!
Joining in! And like everyone else says, your kids are absolutely precious!! Sophie was gorgeous! I hope to take Emma for her birthday (although I'll probably lose my cool  ).
I love the idea of a grand gathering! I hope to coordinate something like that around Emma's 5th birthday. I know some of my in-laws might be interested since my niece and Emma are 6 weeks apart. But we'll see...
Have you guys thought about renting DVC points? That's what we do. Stay at Deluxe style hotels for moderate-ish prices.
Can't wait to read more!! popcorn::

Princess Sophie is ADORABLE!!! (We LOVE Belle). :yay::banana::love:

:thumbsup2I also think the picture of her with your FIL is priceless! I would blow it up, frame and give it to him as a gift. :flower3:

Sophie truly was a princess in her Belle dress.:goodvibes

Thank you! She felt really special!

Thank you! I would send it in a heartbeat but my BIL took the picture and I feel funny asking him.

How adorable was she!!! Love the dress. Can't wait to hear more!!

Aw! Thanks! She wore the dress for Halloween the following october and it still comes out for dress up. It is huge, though so we can't put it in the dress up bin. I wish I would have gotten a pic of her seeing it in the dressing room. I was too emotional at that point!

Thanks! She was a month shy of 5 at the time. She desperately wants to do it again, but feels like she will be too old. She'll be a month shy of 8 at our trip. I think I should just make a reservation just in case, but I think it's one where you are penalized if you cancel. I may be wrong. I'll have to look.

Thank you so much! I am hoping the gathering goes OK! I think it will be fun. We are actually thinking about looking into buying into DVC!!! I think we'll at least go to a presentation and hopefully get something free.

Princess Sophie looks so cute! A princess playing checkers on Tom Sawyer Island is quite the juxtaposition.

I wouldn't think eight is too old for BBB. I'm pretty sure I've seen lots of older girls with Bibbity Bobbity hair and makeup. On the other hand, you wouldn't want to do it and have her feel funny about it. At times like these, I'm always sort of glad I only have boys. :rotfl:

I am joining your PTR too. You're kids are adorable. We are going to Disney in June too. This will be our first time in a long time going in June. We usually go in July, but we wanted to try something different this year.

I don't think your daughter is too old for BBB. When my LO saw pictures (she's only 2) she asked, "Mommy, you want to be a princess too?" She is too young this year, but I think I will have her do it next year when she is three.

Thanks! Isn't it funny? I think it encompasses all things Disney.

Eight is too old for BBB!?!:confused3 Don't tell my 18 year old DD! She still wants to go!:rotfl:

I don't really think so either. And I'm not too sure why she thinks she's too old. She's going to have her own money when we go and I'll definitely "let" her use it there!

Thanks!!! When will you be there in June? 2 year olds are so fun, aren't they? I bet your little one would be an adorable princess!

Day 6: We went to Hollywood studios. Two highlights were the Toy Story Mania ride and Hollywood and Vine Character Lunch. The kids LOVED it. We had front row for High School Musical presentation and the guy gave Sophie the streamers which she was THRILLED about! Finn and my mom went back early and we all hung around. It poured for most of the day, but was a beautiful evening. We stumbled upon a dance party in the playhouse disney place. There were about 100 people in the room and all the characters started coming out! We spent about an hour basically with all the characters at our finger tips. The kids got lots of individual attention, etc. Our camera batteries were out! Got NO pictures. Even my photographer BIL didn't have his camera!!! Again after this, we walked onto all the rides. Loved Tower of Terror as much as the past. Didn't get to Rock n Roller Coaster though. too late.

Our kids love Hollywood and Vine also. They were so excited this past year when they added Handy Manny. Now, my son can't wait to see Oso this year as well. I am glad they changed the characters up. They were getting a little dated. My daughter never watched Jo-Jo's Circus since it went off the air before she was born and my son didn't remember much about the show. The highlight last time was Leo feeding my son breakfast. It made for really cute pictures. My son can't wait for the New Playhouse (Disney Junior) show this summer so that he can see Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He loves the idea of the show and can't wait to see it.

I wish we had an ADR there again this June. My dh wasn't a huge fan, so we didn't do it.

I wonder sometimes why they even put a Playhouse Disney character meal in at all. Wouldn't it have made more sense to do character that would appeal to everyone? I bet a Pixar character meal would be popular.

I completely agree. Pixar would be highly popular.

A Pixar meal would be very cool and would make a lot of boys happy to have a meal just for them. I think they need to work on the boy offerings at Disney.

True! I was excited when I learned about the new Pirate thing. My boys are too scared to look like pirates, though. :rotfl: pirate:

I just realized we are going to be in Disney around the same time. We get there two days after you. My son wants to try the Pirate's League this year. He is going to be 5 in August and really wants to do it. Of course, that also means that his little sister wants to do it and she is only 2 so she can't do it. Oh well, like you said, she would probably be scared too.

I have asked and asked my boys about the pirate's league and both say no. Though, I think it's the picture of the kids with the skull face that does them in. They will each have their own money to spend, and they can do as they wish (with mommy's guidance, of course!). I thought that might be more fun than some other things they might choose!

Is the resort you are staying in part of DVC? We are thinking of going to one of the presentations for the DVC on the first day we are there (we're staying at the Best Western the day we arrive and not going to any parks...just grocery shopping, DTD, and possibly catching a DVC presentation). Are you part of DVC, or are you renting from someone else?
