early vs. late sept?

we are trying to decide when to go to wdw...if we go in Sept.,
(we may go in Oct., depends if we can get $20.03 rate @ CBM!) is early Sept. better or worse as far as crowds and heat than late Sept. We are considering the week of Sept. 7th or Sept. 21st. I have only been in March and November, so I am not sure about the early fall. TIA!!!!!

hi: we've been at wdw all different times during the month of september over the years. it is, in my opinion, almost deserted right after labor day and not crowded at all during the rest of the month. there can be a bit more rain in september than in may as well. just bring an extra pair of sneaks and a raincoat. have a great time.

Can't comment on early September, but we went Sept. 20-26 last year. With the exception of MK on Saturday night (which was packed as usual), the place was unbelievably empty. The hours are of course shorter, but we found we could do so much. The rain didn't bother us at all. I'd love to go in late September again.

We were there sept 6-14 this year, and also on the 20th (I think). The crowds at MK on Friday the 20th were much larger than the first week we were there, but still very small & way better than they were the 1st week of march 2003!

Weather was the same. We don't mind the heat when crowds are nonexistent. There was some rain, but I think it was the typical summer kind, with mostly sunny days and the occassional afternoon storm.

We were there the last week of September last year. It was so quiet it was scary. We were the only people on the tram at MGM. I think we might have waited 10 minutes at most for any attraction.

We were there the first week of March 2003 and it was the least crowded we've ever seen it. If early sept is better than that....than I am doing the happy dance.....because we will be going Sept 3-7. woo hoo

Our trip last september was just amazing! There were some lines in Fantasy land, but nothing terrible. Almost none of the fast pass machines were in use, anywhere in the World. At Test Track there was no single riders line, so we had to wait with everyone else, about 10 minutes. That was the longest we waited all week. I complained the whole time!

The big downside is the shorter hours. And there were some rehabs going on. But it was still worth it!
