Wasn't sure if this should go in Theme Park strategies or Disney resorts, but here goes...

Does anyone have any experience with valet parking very early in the day?

We have an 11:30 ADR at Chef Mickey's, but want to get to the park early for rope drop and they just extended the week before Easter to 8am openings. My plan is to get to the Contemporary around 6:30am so we have enough time to park and walk over to MK before 7am.

From what I've read, security is pretty lax if you tell them you want to Valet, but I'm a little nervous it could arouse suspicion that early in the morning.

Thoughts?

"Arouse suspicion" of what?
My understanding is that you're not allowed (or it's highly frowned upon) to park at a resort and then go to the parks. Will it be an issue if we're parking at 6:30am but don't have a ressie until 11:30 am? I'm afraid of security turning us away, which would really put a cramp in our schedule.

Maybe Disney doesn't care, as long as you're paying for parking either way?

The whole point of using valet to park at a resort you're not staying at is to not take up parking that's intended for guests of that resort.

Why not just park normally for MK ?
What are your plans for after Chef Mickey's?

Do you just "want to Valet" or are you actually planning on paying for Valet parking?

The Security CM will direct you to the Valets and you can leave your car in Valet parking as long as you'd like. You'll pay when you pick up your car.

Unless you're using Tables to waive the fee... Not saying that's the OP's plan, but rather just pointing it out.

Our plan is definitely to pay for Valet...worth an extra $5 for us to avoid the extra time/hassle of the ferry/monorail both in the morning and after lunch (we'll be heading back to our offsite condo for break/nap.

Thanks for the info Hiro.
