Early ticket pickup, adding a day, and FP+

I am worried about losing my FP+, here is my scenario.

Arriving mid day on dec 10, package starts dec 12, have four day tickets. Currently have FP + booked on dec 12,13,15,16.

Depending on how we feel, we may decide to do early ticket pickup and visit a park on dec 11th. If we do this, do I need to add a day BEFORE entering a park on the 11th. If we enter on 11th without adding a day first will one day of FP+ be deleted from our account?

3. If we enter on 11th without adding a day first will one day of FP+ be deleted from our account?

1. That can be done.
2. At this point, to be SAFER regarding FP+, I do recommend doing it that way.
3. That is a possibility... that would be eliminated if you added the day to the ticket before entering the first park.

We just don't have enough "front-line" experience (feedback) to know, for sure, one way or the other.
I'd err on the safer side.

Eek. I'm really hoping this isn't the case. We have 7 day PH tickets that I got at a discount through DH's work, so I need to enter a park before adding a day to retain our discount. We will be there 11/19 - 11/27. I made my FP's for 11/20 - 11/26 since Thanksgiving week is going to be busier than the week we arrive. I was going to add a day once we are there to go to a park on the day we arrive since we get there at 9:30am. I plan on adding the day as soon as we get into the park (so before getting any new FPs). I hope our last day of FPs doesn't disappear.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this? I'll report back when we return to let you know how it goes for us. (crossing fingers this works)

Last Feb on the day we checked in we decided we wanted to go to MK for the evening so we went to GS at our resort and had a day added to our tickets. Doing it that way it didn't effect any of our FPs.

That would be great if you reported back. I'd really like to know if this works.

But yes, I'll err on the safer side until there are some confirmed experiences.

I am here now. Wanted to report that my sister and I both added a day to our ticket before entering a park. I added 2 days at guest relations at the entrance to Epcot in the world showcase and my sister just outside MK. Both places, they bridged the ticket so we only paid an additional 10 per day. It did not affect our fastpasses at all.
