Hello rocketralph,

Wish I was on the cruise now, been so hot here, they are saying it will cool down this weekend, only 105 for a high

It was fantastic. We was suppose to get a standard garden view room and when we got there, they upgraded us to a Jr. Suite water view.

We actually stayed there twice and will probably alway choose the BC again because of the location.

Here are some of our pics from the 11/05 Eastern Magic Cruise.

Thanks rocketralph for the pic's
I hope for a upgrade when we check in, after what happen, but if not, I will still be happy, because I will be at Disney World, and not at work.

Hey guys! Glad your room worked out HRC. We have signed up the kids for the kids clubs and booked a Palo brunch. I don't think we will book any excursions per se. We plan to do Atlantis by day room and just hang out at the beach at CC. Amanda, are you still planning on doing that with us?

I just got some princess dresses from my dress up trunk! My daughter is soooo excited. We are doing 2 days at the Poly after the cruise and have CRT on Friday. Looks like that is an early day at MK though. Hope its not too busy. Anyone know where I can get some boy costumes? Like Aladdin or a Prince?

Check the Disney Store or Disney direct closer to the cruise. They should be getting Halloween costumes in soon.

Or you could maybe make your own, for Aladdin white capri length pants a white shirt and a purple vest or white capri length pants, long sleeve white shirt and make a gold colored sash to tie around the waist and a white hat with a feather. Prince Charming from Cinderella red pants, yellow tape or ribbon down the sides, white shirt/jacket, gold sash around the waist, yellow patches on shoulders. Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty, Brown pants, black long sleeve shirt, blue t-shirt on top, red cape, black boots.

Just watch movies or look at pictures for ideas.

Thanks Becky. Unfortunately, I must buy...not crafty at all and cannot make anything worth a hoot. I will check those sites you mentioned to see if I can find anything.

Add 8 more cruisers to your list!!

My family will be going with a friend of mine and her family:
Me (Christy)
DH (Steve)
DS (Braden 3)
DS (Brennen will be 20 months)

Friend (Robin)
Her DH (Ed)
Her DD (Brianna 4)
Her DD (Ashley will be 18 months)

We are sooo excited for it to get here. I already had my first disappointment when I found Palo Brunch to be all booked up (I am hoping we will be able to pick up a spot on board). This will be our 4th Disney cruise (got to love Florida Resident Rates--still hoping they become available for this cruise!!), but my friend's family will be first times. I am soooo excited to see their reactions to everything.

Sept. 18-22 Disney Wonder

Hi!
Thanks for the welcome, we are so excited to go with Christy on the cruise! My husband and I, along with our 4 year old & our 16 month old are joining her family. We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!
We can't wait to chat with more people going on the same cruise! I got a travel ticker, but since I'm new they won't allow me to put it on yet.
:) Robin

Welcome Robin,
You will love the ship and the cruise.
There is talk of a meeting on deck 9 or 10 the first day, so we all can meet up a put a face with the name, and say HI in person.

Hope all have a great weekend,

Wrench

Welcome Christy & Robin!! Great to hear you are joining us. I heard they do save room for Palo ressies on board so you should check that out first thing. I'm just finally getting around to booking rental car, and oops..the cheap 1 day rental rates are sold out. Now, we are thinking of just renting for 1 week, parking at pier for convenience and grocery stops etc...since we'll be going to WDW after cruise. Still need to buy trip insurance too. I plan to ck out www.insuremytrip.com, but anyone have recommendations as to specific companies?

edited to add: I just saw this thread over on the cruise forum: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=873926
Sounds like there may be a bug in the palo res system, so it may not be booked full after all.

edited again to add: Amanda, you still with us? Are you still planning on doing day at Atlantis? Here is a thread with a $99 deal...however I'm still nervous about pre-booking due to hurricane risk. What do you think?
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=872360

edited again...hee hee to add: I guess trip insurance might cover if hurricane prevented us from going to atlantis. I plan to call them tomorrow to see about this deal. I'll post more on it tomorrow if I decide to book 2 rooms. It may be that 3rd and 4th persons cost more than $99 as deal says based on double occupancy. I'm going to ask cancellation policies as well.

I was able to book 2 rooms at Atlantis guys. Very happy with this deal. Now, lets just hope that a hurricane doesn't send us on a detour! But, we did get trip insurance so should be protected if we can't go. I also asked my TA and we are supposedly leaving nassau at 7:30 pm. When I booked last summer, it was 11:00 pm, so a little disappointed, but oh well.

PK guys we should)hopefully) start getting documents soon! Let us know whenever you get them so the rest of us can go on lookout! I amm still booked in cat 12 GTY on the website! I keep checking, hoping that I have been assg a room (fingers crossed for an upgrade! But if not, it is okay too!) I am guessing that I won't get a room assg until after the REPO cruise is on the way.
Did everyone see the exciting news about the Wonder for next Sept?? I would love to do an 11 night cruise, but I already have 2 double scoops planned for next year, and I would have to scrap both of them to be able to afford the 11 night cruise. hmmmm 14 nights in exchange for 11 nights...........nah! LOL
Anyone else thinking about that cruise?

Hi Christy!!!!!!!!!Welcome aboard!!! This thread has been relatively quiet, because the number one blabbermouth (yours truly LOL) has been away on a 2 week vacation! But we need to get excited! We are almost a month away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm getting very excited too Amanda! I think we were one of the first 2 chatting it up on this thread. LOL HOpe you get a good assignment, but I'm sure no room is a bad room on a Disney trip! ha ha. I thought about next sept for a 2nd, but we probably won't be cruising next year. We already have a short 4 day trip planned in feb (just DH & I) on pres day weekend to the Big Easy. Never done Mardi Gras before and we're going with some friends who've done it 4-5 times. Cannot wait for that. Later in the year, we plan to take the kids to an all inclusive resort. We haven't done that in years and haven't picked out where yet, but probably over the summer before school starts. I don't want to ALWAYS be taking my daughter out of school now that she starts kindergarten this year. ha ha. But, at least I don't feel too guilty. We had an informational meeting and one parent already plans on taking their child out for 1 whole month to go to the Phillipines so my little week for this cruise and WDW is nothing. ha ha

Hi there! It's Laura checking in. My sisters and I are getting very excited! They just sent me their payments for the hotel and rental car, so they know it's coming up quick. I would love to go on that Southern Carib. cruise next year, but can't take the kids out of school that long....I already feel guilty for them missing a week in October 06 for the cruise we have booked already. Have we decided on a place to meet to say "hi" onboard yet? How did everyone make out with their online reservations? My TA messed up, and now I have to change some of my ressies when I get onboard (long story). Hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to meet everyone!
Laura :wave2:

Have we set a dif tme and place for a mini meet? Just to at least say hi and see who we have been chatting with all year? Maybe some of us will end up dinner mates :-)

I am so excited to go! I am anxious to get my room assignment as well. This is the first time we have not booked a Cat 5 or 6, so this will be different for us (in a 12 this time).

At this point any room is better than being at home!!

My older son is allergic to wheat, cheese and citrus. I am sooooo looking forward to not worrying about what to feed him for a couple of days!! I know they will let us know what things he can have!!

Christy

Christy, are you a cat 12 GTY also?? LOL I am so hoping for an upgrade, but I am not holding my breath. My thought is much like your own, as long as we are on the ship that is all that I care about! Both DH and I are really ready for a real vacation! THe time we just took off to go to CO was not a real vacation for us.
