Early roll call for March 20-23rd 08 Wonder cruise

Hi,
there is no reason to book those things ahead of time for CC.
We never do, we just walk up and rent them as we want to do them.
If you do bikes, there are 2 nice trails to ride just off the runway. One of them now has an observation tower. It gives a great view of the ship and the island, be sure and bring your camera.Plus be sure and look down around the tower. there are soe whimsical things Disney put there to see. most miss them because they are looking off in the distance.
There are lots of water stations on the trails too. Ice cold.

It is best to wait and see if the weather is ok for the trikes and such. sometimes it can get too windy and they wont rent them. Best to do them in the morning before the wind picks up.

The things you should book ahead of time would be the banana boat ride, eco tour, glass bottom boat, parasailing. Those are very popular, this time of the year you can often book them at the last minute even.

I dont think your ship will be full because it is conidered a holiday cruise and costs exra even though you return on easter morning.
The only way i know to see if its full is to look on line and see how many cabins are available. But even if DCL doesnt have any available many TA's will have rooms still.

We have been on a full ship a coupletimes. The only reason we knew this was because thew captain announced it. Events are spread out around the ship so well it is never all that crowded,

Hope this helps you some.

Kathy

Hello Lisa,

I'm so glad to see someone else joined our group. Sorry to hear Kathy can't make the trip. But, I am glad you were able to go in January.

Few corrections.... I have a daughter not a son. And this will be their 3rd cruise with DCL. My DH's 4th total...3 with DCL. I will not be joining them on this cruise but will meet up with them in WDW afterwards.

My, DD LOVES DCL.... how old are your children? Maybe they will be in the same group. My DD is 9.

Since we are CClub members we were able to book our stuff early. My DH wants to swim with the stingrays at CC. That is all I booked so far. Kathy suggested a pirate tour on Nassau. So, they are thinking of walking over there at that point. But, we are not real big fans of Nassau so they might just stay on the ship. My DD can't wait we have a count down on our fridge.

They also booked a hotel at the port because it was cheaper to fly in the day before. (they will be flying from Baltimore) Even with the hotel cost it was still cheaper.

Glad you can join us... talk to you soon

I have a DD who is 9 too! I also have a younger DD who will be a month shy of 6 when we sail. They are both so excited!

The only thing I have booked is the dolphin experience in Nassau. I kind of wanted to hang on the boat while we are in Nassau, but DH is a go, go, go kind of person and CC will be hard enough for him (he hates the whole lay on the beach thing), so I think the dolphin deal will be enough to keep all of us happy.

If DDs and I love the cruise, but he doesn't, then we will plan a future one for just us girls.

I'm so glad to hear your DD is 9. Does your daughter have email?

On our last cruise my DD was able to chat with another girl via email prior to the trip. This gave them a chance to introduce themselves. And, they were so excited to meet on the cruise. If you are interested send my a private email.

My DH would agree with your DH he hates to just sit around on the beach. He likes to be active all the time.

My DH and DD are going on this trip without me. My last cruise was not a good experience for sea sickness so I opted to sit this one out. We are going to meet in WDW on Easter Sunday to spend the rest of the week in the parks.

They both love the cruise ship. You will have a blast....

talk to you soon

No, no private email for DD#1, but you can send to me and I will let her use my account to respond. Not sure how to send a private though... :confused3 too new to the boards.

I took my first cruise ever last year on RCL. The girls in the family took my MIL for her 80th bday. It was fun, but I thought it would have been more fun with the girls, thus the DCL trip. We will see how Daddy likes it, but I am sure the girls and I will have a blast.:cool1:

I sent you a private message with my email address.

Look at the top where it has Welcome.... click on the private message link to read.

hope that helps...

Hey folks,

I'm not on your cruise but I found out this news for your cruise...

Disney Cruise Line will transform the animated feature ‘Toy Story’ into a stage show when ‘Toy Story - The Musical’ debuts March 20th, 2008 aboard Disney Wonder.

Following the storyline of the original Disney•Pixar film, the musical uses toy figures Buzz Lightyear and Woody to explore the true meaning of friendship.

‘The “Toy Story” film offered us a rich story and some incredible visual elements to build upon,’ said Jim Urry, vp entertainment for Disney Cruise Line, who assembled a team to create costumes, set designs and a new musical score.

DCL said larger-than-life props help transform the 977-seat Walt Disney Theatre into a toy-sized world, with a rear projection screen aiding the transformation between human-sized and toy-sized scenes.

Here is the video of the rehearsals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WWK6vANEmY

Hello England....

It was warm here today for a change. Never this warm in Feb. End of the week it will be back to the 30s.

My Daughter should be in the same lab as your 8 year old. Do you allow her to email? If so, maybe the two girls can chat before the cruise. Our last trip my daughter was able to chat with a girl online before hand and they couldn't wait to see each other on board.

you can PM me with your email info or I can PM you with mine...

The girls will have a BLAST! My daughter loved the lab on the last cruise...we couldn't get her out. My husband and daughter are flying in the day before and staying at a hotel near the port. After the trip we are all going Disney World for some more fun...:woohoo: :yay:
