!!!! Early Roll Call for January 21 2006 Eastern Magic Cruise !!!!

I'm headed to the doctor today and will probably have my post-cancer treatment scans scheduled for early January. I just finished chemo/radiation in December for Hodgkins and am anxiuos to see if I am "all clean"! I really want to know my results before we get on the ship - hopefully it will be a great celebration for the family. We were supposed to cruise Nov. 26th but obviously had to delay the trip. Now if only my hair could grow a little faster......

Rachel, got my fingers crossed that you are 'all clean" that would be a wonderful thing to celebrate on the cruise !!best of luck today!!

Rachel, my mom is battling breast cancer and is currently in the middle of her chemo. I know how it goes so I am wishing you the best news possible.

I was a little excited to be the first poster for getting documents I forgot to say they came in a white envelope by UPS 3 day select. I would have never thought I would get them this early but I am NOT complaining I have had a hard time sleeping lately since the holidays are over now my brain won't stop thinking about the CRUISE so guess I need to expect many sleepless nights between now and the 21st.

I saw an UPS truck as I was pulling into my neighborhood this morning. I was hoping it was my documents, but it wasn't. Oh well, hopefully soon.

The bracelets arrived before 8 am this morning by FedEx!

They are very green - definitely can't miss them! Unfortunately, the words aren't very prominent. They are not nearly as deeply "engraved" as I had hoped or seen on other bracelets. But they'll identify us readily which is the important thing!

Yippee - it's getting closer.

And I see I stunned you all into silence with my google earth post.

Our DOC's will be coming from our TA, so I do not expect them till next week.
Won't be long before we will be on the Mickey boat. DW is starting to gather items up for the trip. I imagine she will want me to carry the suit cases up from the basement soon.

For those of you that have cruised before have you seen alot of military dressed in their uniforms on formal nights? DH is in the AF and instead of going to buy a suit figured he could just wear his uniform but for some reason wearing it bothers him and would be helpful to know there may be others wearing theirs? Thanks

Crystal, I don't know what it is with our guys, but they do have this thing wearing their uniforms. Matt wore his for his wedding, but only wore it for his DW. Its a shame cuz they all look AWESOME!

Glad to hear the the DOC's will be here soon! DW says "when the tree goes down, the suitcases take it's place", that is a sure sign the cruise is getting closer.

I found the site they used, it's called www.kroooz-cams.com

You can see several ships' cameras in the internet cafes and from the bridges. Unforunately Disney's is not one. But you can see the ports we go to. Dark now of course...

I checked DCL's site and see that there are only a couple of cabins left. Cat's 4,6,8 all show GTY. Cat 7 has 4 cabins left and cat 11 has 5 cabins. Looks like 9 cabins left plus the GTY cabins. A full ship.

I can't believe how quickly it filled. There were 76 rooms in Cat's 4-7 at the beginning of the month. Must have been a lot of GTY in the lower categories. After the upgrades, they probably filled the Cat's 8-12 GTY's.

I just checked and they are down to 3 in Cat 7.

The GTY 4's will probably bump specific 4's up to a 3.

Still, looks like we will be full.
