!!!! Early Roll Call for January 21 2006 Eastern Magic Cruise !!!!

I would need 6 but not sure if picking up at the pier would work. I don't think Disney would accept a parcel and open to distribute. I can't imagine it would cost that much to mail the braclets. Granted there would be the up front shipping the company would charge but whoever mailed them out from that point could just use regular mail. Whatever is decided myself and crew are in.

I use the paint samples for scrapbooking..they look and work great . I have also started thinking about my door decorations...I think that is just part of the fun of it all. I can't wait until we are in single digits. I am taking a trip to Cancun Sunday to that will be a distraction for at least a week. :Pinkbounc

We'd be up for this as well. It would also be the cheapest souvineer you'll have from the cruise ($1.00 plus some shipping). Can't go wrong with that.

If it isn't too much of a hassle, I'd say pass them out at the port. Maybe a few different people could help pass them out there. If the box is too big to pack, maybe someone who is staying at port the night before can work something out with their hotel to have it shipped there the week before and held until the weekend.

Now what do we put on the band? Did you say there were 25 characters included in the price?

This is a post taken from Lisa's thread explaining how they did it for their cruise.

We did the green wristbands for our 11/12 Magic cruise. It was great because we wore them all week (wearing the same tshirt all week could get a tad smelly). I had them made up at a place called reminderband. They are online. We couldn't use the "Disney" name, so ours said "DIZNEY CRUISE 11/12/2005" They come in 3 sizes and have to be ordered in multiples of 20. We ended up with 20 small, 40 med & 20 large. I had them in hand within 2 weeks of ordering. Then I had each DISboarded pm me so I could give them my address & they sent me a check to cover the cost as well as a SASE so that I could mail them back so we could all have them on in the terminal. It worked wonderfully well!!

Looks like our cruise is and is not filling up.

There are no rooms available in Cats 9 - 12. Not even for GTY.

There are several rooms available in Cats 4-7, didn't check CAT 6 however.
Cat 4: 15 of 80 open
Cat 5: 35 of 114 open
Cat 6: didn't count yet
cat 7: 17 of 30 open

Not sure if GTY rooms are block off or not, so those counts may not be 100% accurate.

Cat 8 is showing rooms, but I didn't count the open ones.

Maybe some of us will get lucky and get an upgrade. :cool1:

The wristbands are a great idea. I would say have one person place the order and then mail them out to each group who wants them so we have them when we arrive at port. With the holidays coming up fast, I would say we would need to get them ordered soon. Everyone who want them would need to come up with a number needed and sizes. Craig

Craig,

I see from your signature line you have your 4th cruise in 13 months and 3 weeks. Are you on the 1/20/07? Did you get a SPH again?

Jeff

I am in contact with leejay22 (Lisa) to get it organized and just waiting for her reply to me.

Oh...Lisa!!!!! Where are you?????

Just tell me where to send my check :) I'm sitting here reading the boards and cutting out Mickey head paint samples for my stateroom sign. Boy I'm getting obsessed :Pinkbounc

Sandy, I would have never expected such bizarre behavior from you!!!!! :hyper: Someone in this group needs to stay sane!

I'm trying - I'm trying! Maybe it's the cold weather :cold: making me a little nutty..... I just need a little caribbean fix pirate:

Well, I just booked spa treatments (wish you could book the Villa's online) and discovered there are no Palo reservations! :earseek: That's what I get for booking late!

Anyway, now I'm thinking about excursions. This is our first Eastern with the little guy (our son turned 3 last weekend.) We're thinkg of Coral World/Coki Beach on our own in St Thomas and just a few hours at Grace Bay Beach in St Martin. Has anyone been to either location? Any input is welcome.

The jet ski tour on Castaway Cay is a blast...DH and DD (16) are doing it this trip. I've done it twice already...lots of fun. The little guy and I will just hang on the beach while they enjoy the ride. I'm still contemplating trying the Stingray swim with DD. The water on CC is soooo cold...and I'm a wimpy Floridian now. Any thoughts on this one? :flower:

Have a great day. Thanks for your help!

Lisa H :earsgirl:

JLDSLD,
I'm on a different cruise, how did you find out how many rooms are still available on the ship your week? I'm curious how crowded my week is? thanks :wave2:

I'm here! Sorry all - hubby is away in New Orleans and I'm holding down the fort with a 2 year old with an ear infection. Bring on the cruise!!

I'm glad to organize the bracelets. We need to come to a consensus about what it should read. We have 25 characters including spaces. We could do "Dizney Magic 1/21/06" or "Dizney Cruise 1/21/06" or "Disboards January 2006"? Any other thoughts? Can't do Disney with the s due to licensing issues.

I can ship them to your home prior to the cruise - since they are small and hardly weigh anything, those costs should be minimal. But if you'd rather, I can hold them until we sail. We're cat. 2 (sheepish grin), so should be in group 1 to board and I can make arrangements to be in a central location to meet those who want them then. You can't miss me - I'm 6'2"!

Lisa M

I vote for Dizney Cruise 1/21/06. We would need 1 small 1 medium & 2 large.
Thanks Lisa for coordinating.

:wizard: Hope the little one feels better soon. DS 6 is still getting over double ear infections.

So, if you want bracelet(s) - go ahead and PM me with your order (number of each size, see http://www.reminderband.com/sizingpage1.doc), your real name and snail mail address if you want it mailed to you or let me know if you want me to give them to you onboard. They'll be neon green in conjunction with the Disboards theme color. And I'll wait to see what consensus is on what it should read.

I'll give everyone until December 15th to order? That way I should get them right after Christmas and be able to mail them at the beginning of the year. Sound good?

How about MAGICal 1/21/2006 Cruise (Magic capitalized)?
Ooh, I like that!

I had t-shirts made from the Disney catalog for my kids. I asked that they say "Cruisin' on the Disney Magic". I received a call saying that was a no go! It had to read "on the Disney Cruise Line" and no other variation. Something about it could only be at (the parks) or on. What a pain! So I changed it to "Magic on the Disney Cruise Line" with the dates. LOL.

flippin4mickey,

It is actually a long process, but if you go through the DCL site to make a reservation, on one of the screens it gives you the option to select a specific stateroom. I just went through every stateroom number for each category. The Cat 6's have the most rooms (of Cats 4 - 7), so I haven't done that one yet. I'll probably do it over the weekend.
