Piper,

You're welcome.

I count 30 DDs and 26 DSs. I'm not sure, but I think we have a lot more listed this year than we did last year.

Jeff

BTW, did you reserve for 1/20/07? We did while on board at the end of October. Got a SPH for a great rate.

I have seen this a couple times and it is still stumping me what does SPH stand for? I know I will probably slap my self once I know :teeth:

We actually pushed our cruise out a couple weeks, and booked Feb 3, 2007. There were several reasons for the change, one being that I am in the health care management business and the first of the year is always very busy. We thought an early February cruise might give me a little breathing room after all the 1/1 changes that tend to take place.

We thought briefly about doing a Western, but the Eastern is really perfect for us. We love those two days at sea steaming south to St. Maarten. After leaving the chilly tundra, it feels great to get progressively warmer each day.

60 more days. that sure sounds good :cloud9:

Clewert,

SPH stands for Secret Porthole Room. They are rooms 5020, 5022, 5024, 5520, 5522, 5524. They are Cat 10 rooms, or deluxe INSIDE staterooms that have a PORTHOLE. Basically, you get a free window.

Since there are only 6, they are very hard to come by. Plus, they are on Deck 5 which makes them equal to a Cat 8 room.

Hope that helps.

Jeff

Piper,

We would love to push off to February but DW works for a major retailer and year-end for them is Jan 31. She can not take any vacation in February. We can't even straddle the end of Jan and the beginning of Feb.

I agree with you about the Eastern. We love the extra days at sea. So much to do on the boat.

Less than 9 weeks to go.

Congrats on your discount. Wish I could find one. Jan 20th is getting closer and I can't wait! At least I have Thanksgiving and then on the 4th of Dec I get to go to DW for a week. After that will be Christmas and then a bowl game. And then the long wait for the last days to past, so I hope I can make it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone!!!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

For all you in Wisconsin (and Packers fans everywhere), at least we can be thankful the Packers don't play on Thanksgiving anymore. This season is getting very depressing. :guilty:

Look at the bright side everyone, in 2 months from today we'll be in St. Maarten. :cool1:

Jeff

Jeff - You made my day! Now I can picture the beaches of St. Maarten while I finish cooking the turkey! :Pinkbounc

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Lisa

Yipee!!! I definitely think we are cruise-obsessed in our house. Luckily, Thanksgiving and Christmas will make the time pass very quickly. DH and I celebrate our wedding anniversary on 12/23. Historically, we have our docs by that date. I told DH that is the best anniversary present I could receive. Well, almost the best present. Last year he surpirsed me with a 3-day Wonder cruise. That was amazing!!!

Tick tock, tick tock. 56 days and counting.

Question for all you repeat cruisers... How was the weather in late Jan. We are from MI and we've already been thrown into winter full force :cold: ... I'm hoping for at least high 70's wishing for 80's. Anyone cruise this time of year before. Jan/Feb is the time of year we like to get away (from the snow). So 70's may seem cool to others its a really special treat to us. Let me know, now I'm being to worry about something I have zero controll over. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is our 6th cruise in the Dec/Jan/Feb timeframe. Being from Minnesota, we know what it means to get out of the cold! :guilty: I can assure you that as we steam towards St. Maarten, you won't want to go back! The locals at the Orlando airport may complain about the cool temps, but believe me you will feel like you hit the tropics when you arrive at the airport, and it just gets warmer after that.

55 days. Yipee!!! :cheer2:
