Early planning - Few questions?

I think my disney planning has gone into overload

As long as things are on while we are there it wont matter if its only a couple times a week (not if we do do 3 weeks). I just wasn't sure if fireworks/night parades etc were only on during peak seasons.

Fireworks and parades are on all year round, this year the main difference is that Fantasmic has gone from every night to only 2 or 3 times. August is still peak season so most things are still open, there will always be a couple of things closed for refurb though. We go the 4th-22nd every year and the first week is busy but manageable, the 2nd week is much quieter which means you can relax more then

I know you said you don't want to 'do the halloween thing', but I really wouldn;t let that put you off an October trip.

We are going this October, and got an amazing deal! (Animal Kingdom lodge for the same price as Value resorts are at some times of year) Also got great flight prices.

We are attending the Halloween party as I want to see the parade and special fireworks, but if you don't attend the parties then I really dont think you are going to notice a difference excpet for a bit of orange bunting here and there in the MK. You have to pay extra to see the Halloweeny stuff.

I would prefer the park to get quieter the further into the hol rather than the other way round, so this sounds good.
