I'm coming from San Diego each day for three days. Park doesn't open until 10 (one early morning hour at 9). Would it make sense to get there early and have breakfast or something at one of the hotels so I beat rush hour? I think I read the parking lot for Disney doesn't open until 1 hour prior. Anywhere else to park? Any advice?

First off it's better to ask for information on the main board not the community board of Disneyland. This side is more for disccusions of a fun nature.

Never the less. Haveing done the same thing as you and wanted to beat traffic but arriving too early to park this is my advice. Have a liesurely breakfast anywhere and go to park after. Just get to Garden Grove or Anahiem before getting off the freeway. I've gotten onto the Garden Grove Freeway and then gone up South Harbor a couple times. This will set you up nicely to park at the new Toy Story lot as well.

What are the exact days you plan on coming? Now the 10 am opening are you talking about Disneyland or DCA? Cause if Disneyland opens at 8 am on those days then the parking lot is open an hour prior to that opening time….

Sorry about where I posted. Anyway, I'm going to be there Feb. 1-3 (Tues-Thurs). Park opens at 10 a.m. I want to get 3-day tix with one day arriving at 9 a.m., but it's my understanding the parking lot will just be opening then.

Ok so op I did look at the calendar and you are right they are open at both parks at 10 am, so that means the parking lot is open at 9 am. Now as far as getting there like a little earlier then 9 am, I would just bite the bullet and park when the parking lot opens so you can get a good spot.

Just in case- a correction: from the 22 you don't go up South Harbor - you go up NORTH Harbor to get to Disneyland.

It's not a problem that you posted here. I just wanted you to know that you will get more responses by putting it on the other board.

Since you are going on a Tues, Wed and Thur, the park will be open an hour early on Tues and Thur, as it appears you know, for Morning Magic. So the lots will be opening at 8, 9 and finally 8 again.
