We have a couple of early reservations during our trip. One at Crystal Palace at 8:15 and BOG at 8:55. My question is how early of a reservation makes it worth the early entry? I am worried we're going to be to worried about meeting the characters at CP to get out before rope drop. Would we be able to get to the reservation early? Or how late can you be if we were to go sneak a ride in before BOG? Is that completely awful of me to even consider?

You will be hard pressed to finish a ts meal in 45 min or less. If it has you stressed out pass!

Another thing to consider, park hours can change. The ppo is lost if the park opens an hour early. And yes, it happen So!

We had an 8:10 CRT on Sunday and we were out by 9am. We didn't rush, but if you're worried if drop the TS and just do BOG.

Any pre-park BOG will get you in around 7:45.

BOG breakfast is not considered table service right? So probably in and out quickly?

How late will they potentially change park hours? We're going in December and this element of changing hours hours has me worried. My whole strategy of getting up early with my kids to enjoy the parks a bit before they get crazy is completely out the window if they are opening up at 7:00. That would mean we'd have to be there by 6:15-6:30 for rope drop? And we're staying at AKL!

On a different post someone told me that if you have an 8:55 with park opening at 9 they will not let you in early. Which is true?
If you arrive after they've begun the welcome show, you won't get in early. But, as I said, any pre-park BOG can get in at 7:45.

A 9:00AM opening means they tend to start the show around 8:45-8:50.

The MK hours were updated about 8 days before our June trip to an 8:00 a.m. opening. Which week of December are you going? If the park opens at 8:00, the restaurants will open at 8:00, not 7:00.

It can be pretty last minute. The closer you get to XMas the more likely they will be earlier. Recently years, Christmas week, the week before and the week after have been 7 AM openings.

Ugggh! I did see that last year on VMCP days it still opened at 9:00...but other days it was 7:00 or 8:00. I was hoping to fine tune some of the reservations we have but I guess I'll be holding off for awhile until we know hours better!

It will be the 17th-22nd. I guess Christmas break is later this year so it looks like it won't get too bad while we're there. Fingers crossed!

Given recent history, I think you can count on 8 AM openings with possible updates to 7 on those dates.
