Early Openings at Parks

Good morning … heading down Friday to Thursday this week and just had a question … we are staying within the Disney Hotels so we get early admission to Magic Kingdom at 8:00 AM on Friday .. curious to know if they have a show before the open the park or do they just open at 8:00 AM and we can get on the rides? Want to hit Seven Dwarfs Mine Train before it gets nuts. Should we arrive at 7:30 or they won't open until 8:00? Thanks very much for all of your help!!

The Welcome Show runs at 8:55 for all guests.

You’d need to return to the Hub to watch it.

They will open the park around 7:45, so you want to be ready and waiting at that time. Plan to be arrive at least by 7:30 and maybe a bit earlier so you can get through security and be in the line to get in. Once they let you onto Main St, you want to head for the spoke of the hub to the right of the castle that leads into Fantasyland and join the horde that will be waiting to go to 7DMT. The closer to the front of this crowd you are, the shorter your wait will be to get on the ride.

I would plan to arrive at the park (i.e. get off bus or monorail) at 7am as @Alesia recommended. You'll need time for bag check and scanning your bands then line up to enter the park.
