early opening parks for resort guests

Hi: I am not going down to wdw, but a friend and daughter are for the first time. Where do they find a chart on the early opening parks for wdw resort guests, and is it still a good thing to do for mid october?

I know a while back some said to go to another park that did not have the early opening time to avoid crowds?

In the past I heard people would go into the early opening park, then around mid morning move over to another non early opening park. Is that still the touring strategy?
