Early November - which dates?

If you had the choice, which 3 park days in early November would you pick:

Friday, November 1 - Sunday, November 3
or
Sunday, November 3 - Tuesday, November 5

My gut reaction was to pick the Sunday to Tuesday dates, but a friend told me that weekends were likely a better choice crowd wise and that it'll feel better regardless since it's fully staffed. Is that true? I know Monday is usually very busy, but would those dates be actually worse than the weekend? Thanks all!

3rd-5th so you could get the Dapper Day rate at a resort property. Plus Dapper Day is super fun!

OR...if your dates are flexible, the Christmas season starts on Nov 15.

I think both of those date ranges are eligible for Dapper Days hotels discounts -- it's a great opportunity to stay onsite. If you do, please consider supporting the event by buying an expo ticket (expo is on Saturday and Sunday). It's relatively inexpensive (I think like $20-30) and there is some cool stuff.

I don't think it will matter a huge amount on the dates (it's always crowded), but FWIW, I would go with the first option. That Saturday all but Inspire keys are blocked out. Also, as you said, Mondays are just notoriously bad. I like to prevent Monday visits if possible.

So now I am rethinking my days. Our trip is Thursday, November 14th to Saturday, November 25th. We have 5 day hopper passes with Genie. I know we will get on everything we want to multiple times, but I would prefer less crowded parks, too. The Christmas season starts on Friday, November 15th. We chose Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Most of the annual passes are blocked on Saturday and a couple are blocked on Sunday. Should I swap Sunday for Monday?

Yes, I would swap Sunday for Monday. Any time there are magic key blockouts I like to go for those dates. Even though it'll likely be busy anyhow due to the Holiday season just starting up, Sundays are typically better than Mondays in most situations.

Just a warning, I think your Friday may be a bit nuts with locals flooding the park to see the new holiday offerings (and I say that with no disdain toward locals, I would be doing the same if I didn't live 7 hours away 🤣). Pack your patience and enjoy! 🎄

Thank you so much for the help! We go to DL every other year but DW multiple times between DL visits and it is always hard to
re-learn the differences between the two. I am very excited to see all of the holiday stuff because we usually go around Halloween and have only ever seen the few holiday decorations they start putting up right after Halloweentime.

Tagging on to this thread...I'm looking at Nov. 6-10 or 13-17. The first would be just before Veterans Day; will LA schools be out that week or only on the Monday? Sounds like the second option would put me right at the official beginning of the Christmas season, which will probably draw big crowds that weekend. I need to include at least a Friday because I want to see Fantasmic.
