Does anyone know when the gingerbread houses and resort Christmas decorations will be up? We’re going in early November and would like to see them if possible.

From what I've read, the decorating will begin on Nov 1st and completed by Nov 3rd. for 2023.

Early Nov is a tad early. I did a few mid-Nov trips, sometimes resorts were decorated, sometimes not, it was straight up magic when we were there and they got decorated over night! Gingerbread house openings at like GF don’t coincide with when the resort was decorated. Last year the GF’s gingerbread house opened 11/9. If it’s not open when you’re there you can still enjoy seeing them build it/decorate it!

Read this but I guess it could be wrong.
"As a general rule of thumb Disney World Christmas decorations always start to go up at Magic Kingdom park on November 1st with this park being fully decorated by November 3rd."

Last year the Gingerbread House at the GF was up on Nov. 9th.
Only MK. Resorts go until Thanksgiving, sometimes a bit over that.

Yep. MK needs to be decorated/converted from the Halloween party nights to the Christmas party nights. That takes a couple days.

Gingerbread house construction at the several resorts that do that takes a period of days/weeks to build from start to completion. But for decorations at the resorts, those are done around Thanksgiving time and even then it's iterative.

We were at Fort Wilderness last year for Thanksgiving week and the week prior and we just woke up one morning and <<SHAZAAM>> Christmas wreaths and decorations were up.

But it took 2-3 nights before they patched in all the extension cords to power the lights on said wreaths and decorations.

I've read in the past that the resorts have a lottery as to "who" gets "what" decorations put up "when". So whatever timetable happened "last year" is no guarantee that will be the timetable "this year" at the resorts..
