Early Mornings on Western

The only time you'd have to clear immigrations while on the western itinerary is if there's a change for some reason (such as we had on the 8/19/04 hurricane cruise) and you have to stop in at a US port after having been at a foreign port. Otherwise you don't have to get up early any morning during the cruise to do this.

Our cruise had to make a stop in Galveston, TX in the middle of our 10-night hurricane cruise, so on that morning we ALL had to appear in front of U.S. customs in the theater, and show ID.

From what I understand, the same applies for Canadian residents.

nope, only on the Eastern Cruise.

I'll never be taking an Eastern cruise, that's for sure!

Are there any early morning immigrations to clear on Western?
How about for Canadians?
I'm sure I read somewhere that as Canadians (non-US citizens) we have to get up at 6am the day we arrive back at Cape Canaveral to clear customs. From what I recall, all members of the family, regardless of age, must go with passports & declarations in hand.

This is very true. It never really affected us too much, as we always needed to by off the boat early so were ready anyhow. They really do make this as painless as they can, pastry, and coffee at the door of whatever bar it is in.
