We wanted to try breakfasts at resorts other than the one we are staying at (POR) How early do the buses run? I guess we would have to go to DTD and then back to a resort? The website says that the DTD buses don't start until 8:30am! We have ADRs for 7:45am at two other resorts, The Swan - Garden Grove and Yacht Club -Captains Grill
Apart from the bus system, does anyone know what cab fare would be on average, say from POR to AKL?
Thanks for any help.

Noooooo!!!! DTD is not a good transfer point, especially in the morning.

There are early buses to the theme parks just for this purpose.

All of your breakfasts are in the Epcot resorts area, so, you need to take an early bus to Hollywood Studios. (They start running between 6:30 and 7:00 am), then you can walk or boat over to the resort for your breakfast.

Also, just for an FYI, if you want to have an early breakfast at any of the monorail resorts, then you need to take an early bus to MK (starts at 6:30am), then monorail or walk.

If you want an early breakfast at Wilderness Lodge, then bus to MK, walk to Contemporary, then boat to WL.

So, even when the parks are not having Extra Magic Hours in the morning, the buses still run there beginning at 630-700? In other words- every morning, to all the parks?
That's a great bit of intell to have - thanks!

Yep..every morning those buses start rolling by 6:30, maybe a bit earlier. But, the thing to remember is that the buses that early don't run as frequently as the regular buses..maybe every 20-30 mins. So plan accordingly. This is one time you really do need to block out about an hour.
If you are going to a MK resort, it's pretty easy. You can walk to the CR, and take the monorail to both the Polynesian and GF.
For BW, YC/BC and S/D, you need to take the bus to DHS and then, most likely, walk to the Epcot resorts..about 15 mins or so. The Friendship boats only start running about an hour before park opening...so you need to plan accordingly.

we have a 7am adr at CM and staying at POR- is it easier to just take a taxi in the morning? How long will it take to get there via taxi? How much will it cost?

7am is going to be tough to get to using Disney buses. You are going to be better off getting a cab. That will run under $20 but I can say for sure exactly what it will be. From POP to YC, it is about $10 and those resorts are about an 8 min drive from each other. POR is a bit of a hike to CM's. It will take about 15-20 mins tops.
