I want to snorkel early in the morning. Has anyone done this? How is visibility at this hour?

We were about the first people off the ship and were in the water within 45 minutes or so of leaving the ship. So, we were probably in the water by about 8:30 am (couldn't really get there any much earlier given the Magic's port schedule) and the visibility was awesome. Bright and sunny and the water is breathtakingly clear.

Are you doing this on your own or as part of an excursion? The cruise ship gives preference to people who book excursions through them. They make sure they get onto the first and second tender boats before non disney excursion folks do. If you book an early morning excursion directly, you could wind up being late.

We booked thru Captian Marvin's. We were off the boat asap and on the first boat out. We did fine.

We also booked the earliest Captain Marvin's sailing. We were at Captain Marvin's by 8:00am. The snorkeling and Stingray City tour was exceptional. I would definitely do it the same next time...
