Early Morning Magic Reports from Today 4/26

I was in the park by 7:45 this morning for an 8:30 BOG reservation. Crowd was not bad at all. As we passed the carousel headed toward Fantasyland, a cast member approached us and asked if we were going to BOG. We told him yes and that was the end of it. I don't know if he was checking because we didn't have the special yellow bands or if that's just standard.

What time did you leave breakfast and did you notice anything particular about lines/crowds wherever you headed then?

I think you're generally right about the capacity, but I think it's got to be at least 1.5-2 times the seating capacity of PInnochio because of the come as you want style.

I think the limiting factor is more likely the ability to handle the buffet line volume in a timely manner with most or all guests maximizing the exclusive time and therefore showing up at or after 9:00. Checking people in from 7:30-7:45 may also be a limitation. I haven't seen any actual reports to support this, so maybe I'm just all wet. I'll get a firsthand look in a few weeks.

I realize it's only going to matter on select days, but we are doing a quick weekend trip in May and planning on rope dropping MK on Saturday the 14th. We usually get a couple of rides on Space Mountain and at least one ride on Buzz Lightyear with no wait at all, thinking this may change things

I'm hoping this will have little effect. If today's peek holds true (big "if"), those crowds didn't create long lines at the three included attractions, so I would guess that when they disperse even further to whatever area of the park they want when the whole place opens up, it will be a negligible impact on other rides. Fingers crossed for you!

Didn't leave BOG until about 9:20. I believe 7DMT had a posted wait of 60 minutes by that time, however Fantasyland itself didn't seem very crowded.

All depends on the number of special event tickets issued, so far from what we are hearing the number is relatively small and thus RD should still be a helpful advance on the other thousands of visitors pouring into MK in the later morning hours of the day. My reservation would be how long before WDW sees $$$ by increasing the number of tickets for this event (like the holiday parties), making even less value for those attending the special morning access, and bigger impact on RD - but perhaps only time will tell.

Exactly. One event is NOT enough to base a prediction on and I'm especially concerned about the track record of expanding party limits, BUT day 1, at least, looked like win-win.

win-win perhaps, if spending extra $60 per person to ride 7DMM, PP and Pooh a few extra times (face it the breakfast is not much of a value, easier and cheaper to eat at resort) is worth it. Considering that with EMH or RD (plus FP) you can do same on regular hours. Depends on value and interests I suppose, but I fail to see much of a benefit or value.

My family of 8 was there. We didn't wait for a single ride. We had 4 adults and 4 kids 2 of whom were under 3 and couldn't ride 7dmt. I rode 7dmt 4 times, pooh 4 times and PPF 3 times. I definitely could have done more if not for the little ones. My niece rode 7dmt 7 times PPF 2 times and pooh once.

Breakfast was good. Not the best I've ever had, but I would say above average by Disney standards.

We had a marvelous time and couldn't recommend it more for anyone who can afford it!

Oh for sure, I'd feel the same way. I assume the people buying thought the food and those three rides were worth $70 to them. Not me or you, but reports sound like they did get what they chose to spend $70 on, with short waits & repeat rides, so win for them. Win for Disney because they got people to pay them $70 for the 75 min plus food. Win for non-attendees because today, at least, it looks like it didn't impede regular rope drop.

I think the 200 I was told by the manager might have been accurate.

Don't know the veracity of this information (actually posted by the person above me, Spork24), but somebody said a manager CM told them that today was limited to 200 people, but they will be working it up to 400.

Imo if they rode less than us it must have been by choice.

Josh posted on Twitter that he rode 7DMT five times in 30 min and Pooh at least once during the event. He also had pics of how he was either the only one or almost the only one on the rides. I don't know exactly how many times he rode each attraction, but I think he did okay.

If they extend this through the summer (only showing for April, May and June so far) we might give it a try.
