Hello,
We'll be at WDW in early May. Could you please tell me whether you'd recommend a jacket for this time of year, or just a sweater? (We have ponchos for wet rides.)
Thank you!

I will also be there in May. I was there last year. Based on the weather from last year you can just bring a sweater. It was in the high 80's during the day and got a little cooler at night but not cold. I hope this helps.

Last May, we took really light/compact spring jackets. They ended up staying in our room until departure... and only came out once we landed back home in Ottawa.

May to me is warm enough to forgo a sweater or jacket in Orlando... and it's such a wonderful feeling :goodvibes

Wow. I went last May 5 or 6th for a week and my response would have been don't bother with anything other than a windbreaker. I found it to be in the low 30's during the day and the evenings were great for a long sleeved t-shirt. ;)

I'm probably going to bring a pair of capris and a hoodie with me so I can wear them on the plane down and back. I'm hoping not to need the hoodie during the trip.

From what I see, I'll only need a light jacket one day if the weather is similar to last year. I hope the weather is great for your trip!!!

We took windbreakers the doubled as rainjackets. When we went in '06 (late Apr-early May) it was mid-80s in the day and mid-60s in the evening. However, last year (at this time of year) we hit a cold snap down there and were grateful to have brought the windbreakers. It was cool when we left Disney in the a.m. but warm enough to take them off by the time the gates opened.

We have been at WDW many times during that time of the year. We have never needed jackets, have only ever worn the odd very light sweater and the reason for that was the airconditioning at dinner!

I always take one of my disney sweatshirts to wear and it always comes home just as it was packed, too hot to wear!
