Early March or Mid-May?

I'm heading down to Orlando during the first week of March, and once again in the middle of May.

I'm mainly interested in WWoHP (so IOA). Which of these two trips should I head out there for? When will the crowds be the best?

are you only planning to do one trip to the park?

if you are, either one will work.

May would be warmer than early March.

I am curious about this also. I am debating whether or not to stay on the grounds in mid-May (5/16-20). I am wondering if I need front of the line access, or are the crowds not that bad around this time?? If they are manageable, I could stay in a less-expensive hotel.

check what the cost of the epp's will be for your dates.
you can find that info on the UO website.

if the epp is over $45 for the day, it is an indicator of larger crowds expected in the park.

don't buy the epp until you are in the park.
judge the time waits and crowds first.

if it rains, the park thins out quickly.

epp are date related and non refundable.

i have been in May before and enjoyed the weather and lower crowds.
i was there in the second week of May and also the third week another time.

with Harry Potter, it is difficult to predict a trend yet for crowds for some months.

In May, most grade/high schools are still in session until the 4th week.
colleges can be done for the term the second week of May.

it has been a safe time to go in the past year, hopefully the same this year.

staying onsite gives you EE to the park before it opens to the public.
express line, unlimited usage also.
this perk is for the day you check in and the day you check out of the hotel.

many peeps find it worthwhile for them.

IOA had the best water rides. Even if you're not a big water ride fan you should still try Jurassic Park, it won't soak you, only a splash. I would choose mid May. It will be warmer and the days longer.
