Early Magic Hour--To Go or Avoid?

All the tour guides I have seen recommend taking advantage of the Early Magic Hour by getting to the EMH park at opening on that day. Some on this site have suggested that crowds are larger at parks that have EMH that day, which makes me wonder whether it would be better to plan around EMH by avoiding the parks on their EMH days. Any thoughts?

EHM is definitely worth it at MK. You can blitz Fantasyland in no time. If the park then gets too crowded, bug out and hop to another park.

We seem to get the most EMH benefit at MK, and the least at EPCOT.
We head to the EMH park ONLY if we are going to get there at the EMH opening time or very close to it. If we are sleeping in, or just running behind, we tend to go to another park.

It really depends on your family. If it really stresses you to get up and going in the morning, then skip it.

If the morning is OK for the family, then especially do it for MGM and MK.

I would do it. We did EE at every park and it was great. MK was especially nice to do and then get out before the crowds got to bad.

As others have eluded to, it's best to go to EMH and then leave when the park gets too crowded. I would suggest leaving before lunch if you are going at a busy time a year. If you are going during a slow time, it probably won't make a lot of difference if you do EMH or not. When we didn't get up early enough for EMH, we went to the parks that had just had EMH the day before. All the people that just went to that park were elsewhere.

I just got home yesterday... the parks were empty. We never did the early hour . Their was no lines or waiting.

We are just in and I concur that their were NO people at the World! But if you are going around Halloween if may be different.
