EARLY LUNCH @ DTD.. is Planet Hollywood really BAD?

staying at saratoga springs and need to be done eating and back by 1:00. needs to on dining plan..planet holloywood opens at 11 but if it's awful that will ruin day. (getting married at seabreeze point @ 2:30) help!! will be 9 total. thanks!

Planet Hollywood in DTD but have in NYC and Key West without much luck. The House of Blues is also in DTD and I have enjoyed the food and atmosphere in a couple of different locations. They also open at 11:00. Try the restaurant review forum to get a better idea on quality of food and service. Opinions differ.

Full disclosure: Isaac Tigrett who started the House of Blues (and Hard Rock Cafe) has the same alma mater as I do and grew up in Memphis where I live now. But I have never met him and, unfortunately, he has never given me money to endorse his restaurants.

I don't think HOB is on the dining plan. I guess it depends on what you mean by "really BAD". I doubt you'll get food poisioning and the service should be OK.

PH is known for atmosphere and not for great food.

I think Ragland Road is open for lunch but it might be easier to just try the restaurant at your resort (Turf Club?)

most of the Downtown restaurants are not owned by Disney and may not be supported by Disney Dining ADRs. My experience is that you can call the non-Disney restaurants directly and get something similar to an ADR.

If you are wanting "great" food then find another option. If you go into it with the idea that it will be decent food then you will not be disappointed. Our party of three ordered the Southwestern Salad, Buffalo Tenders and a cheeseburger.

We were all pleased with our meal and ate everything. The advantage of PH is that there will be plenty of items to choose from, everyone should find something that they like.

went there on the plan 2 weeks ago. not fine dining but had a great meal there. 1 thing to keep in mind, this place is very loud, i' m talking very loud. we were on the 2nd floor and had trouble holding a conversation. but all in all, i would recommend this place if you are looking for good burgers,sandwiches and great desserts!!

We eat there everytime we're in DTD. The food is just what everyone is saying...good if your not expecting a 5 star resturant. We love the atmosphere....although it is very loud. The food has always been hot and the service has been good.

we are eating a LATE dinner at raglan road that evening. i was hoping eating at ph early would be avoiding bad service. thanks to all for suggestions, going to switch somethings around and eat at turf club instead.
