Does the extra hours on apply for those at the resorts? How do they know who is staying at the resorts and who isnt? That means if we dont stay at a resort they will be crowded every morning already when we get there. and at the later night hours how do they kick everyone out that doesnt stay at resort?

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

Here is a link that will help you understand how EMH work:

You must show your room key in the morning to be allowed in the park and for the evening you must present your room key to get a wristband. No wristband = no rides!

THANKS!!!!!! I bookmarked that site I see some other things I was wondering about!!

For the night time hours, my family will be attending these three of the five days that we are there. Everywhere that I have read it states that the park will be open for UP TO three additional hours. How do you know what park will be open the whole three hours? Does anyone know what they mean by the "UP TO THREE".
Thanks!

They'll open for 3 hrs. I think they put UP TO just to cover their bases just in case they have to close early for some reason.

Don't worry, ever since it's started in Jan 05, and when they were doing the test back in may 04, it's always been 3 hrs.

Thank you so much for that information of the "UP TO". I was worried so I planned out everything with only one hour. But I am really happy that it would most likely be three! Thanks again!

For the Magic Hours at Epcot. Future World closes at 7 (the night we are there) and Showcase closes at 9pm. They are having Extra Magic hours for the park that night. Would everything be open till midnight? Or future world till 10 and showcase till midnight or everything close at 10? It isn't making sense to me. So if anyone has gone to or knows more about it I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!

For Epcot, EMH evening starts at 9pm - 12am.

Some FW attractions like Mission:Space, Test Track, Soarin' close at 9pm anyway, regardles of EMH days. Innoventions will be closed at 7pm, as will the restaurants in FW.

At 9pm, all the countries except Norway and Mexico will be closed and only those 2 countries remain open for EMH.

Thank you so much! It's so confusing, and not clearly stated anywhere! Thanks for all your help!

We just got back, and Mission Space, Test Track, and Soarin' were open until the EMH's closed at midnight. Most of the restaurants were open until 11 and some of the expensive restaurants were open until 12. I wish that I still had the sheets telling what was open.
