Has anyone stayed overnight near PHL airport? What is closest hotel? Any tips? Have 2 kids and am dreading getting them on a 645am:worship: flight.

The closest hotel is the Marriott attached to the airport. It is definitely the best for convenience.

We stayed at the aloft hotel last time and it was awful. They had rented out the lobby for a party so there was really loud music most of the night. Not really what you want when getting up for an early flight!

I just booked a room at the Renaissance on Priceline last night. We have a 6 AM flight on Saturday. I paid $79 on Priceline (best price I could find was $109.95 plus taxes.. I was hoping for the Marriot, but this is fine too.
I have also stayed at the Sheraton Four Points and the Sheraton Suites. The suites is supposed to be "nicer", but our room overlooked the 8 story atrium at the bottom of which is the bar & restaurant. It was very noisy, so I didn't get much sleep anyway. I always use Priceline "name your own Price". For one night, that works for me.
There is also a Hyatt that is close to the airport. Here is a link from the PHL website that lists the different hotels in the area.

You can also check our parksleepfly.com for other options.

I live in the Philly suburbs and work a mile from PHL. The Renaissance is a nice hotel as mentioned by the PP; you can probably get a good rate there. It is about a mile from PHL. I don't believe there is a charge for parking.

The Marriott is your best bet, but I would think it would be pricier considering the convenience. I am not sure how much they charge for parking.

There are a lot of options in the area. Some charge for parking and others do not. There is also a Comfort Inn and a Comfort Hotel a little further away, but still a quick trip to PHL. Both of them offer free breakfast at Denny's (next door to both) if my memory serves me correctly.

With 2 kids & an early flight the added cost of the Marriott in the airport would be well worth it for the convenience! DH flies out of PHL every week and has stayed at the Marriott there hundreds of times.

The Marriott uses the airport's lot. It is $20 a day........I just checked the Marriott website. There is a AAA rate of $89, but that wouldn't include parking.

Hey Pam - what car service are you using this trip....NOT!! Shhhhhhh.....:lmao:
