Early Extra Magic Hours - Fastpass Strategy?

Hi everyone! Since my family and I are staying on-site, we plan on taking advantage of early extra magic hours at each park (mostly because of my early rising toddler who will need a mid-afternoon nap back at hotel). We plan on being there at least 30 minutes before EMH starts.

With this in mind, what should be our Fastpass strategy, in general? I mean, we'll probably make a beeline for some of the bigger rides and use rider swap (like SDMT, TT, etc.) These are typically attractions that I would get a FP for, but we should have little to no wait so early (as long as it is our first ride)...so unless we want multiple rides, it doesn't seem like it's worth it.

What would you do? Get the FP just in case? Use them for afternoon park visits (we were hoping to not be as tied down to afternoon plans)?

we have toddlers so I am used to the idea of early morning and flexible plans! Get a FP for the headliners. That way you have them secured for later in the day. If you can ride them earlier with little wait, great! Then, change those FPs on the fly for something else... it is easy to change AWAY from 7DMT, but you will find it impossible to get them day-off. But you can meet talking mickey no problem

Depending on when you are going, I would not use FPs in the morning. Use them for after nap time. I typically go all three in the evening or one late morning and two in the late afternoon.

If you rope drop EMH you should be able to get everything done in he first few hours (Maybe not A&E M&G). Make your FP+ for later in the afternoon. We always have Park Hoppers so we use our FP+ for our second park. Like the PP said you can always change your FP+ to less crowded attractions but if you want a second ride on one of the headliners you will have it made. With youngsters I wouldn't make your FP+ for too late in the evening in case they can't last that long. Have fun and cheers!!!!
