Early evening arrival - lines at car rental (Dollar)?

In a couple days, we're arriving at about 630pm - the first time I've had an evening arrival in Orlando since, I think, 1992. I almost always fly the redeye.

What are the lines likely to be for car rental? (My Dollar Express membership has lapsed, so I'm going to have to wait in the regular line.)

I seriously doubt that you can't fix the Dollar Express thing. Give them a call.

We didn't use ours for s few years, Alamo had better rates for a couple of trips, and mine expired. It was nothing to re-instate it and we used it for whatever trip I was planning when I discovered that it was inactivated.

Yep - they don't expire, but after a while they become inactive and you have to call. By the time I called, they had closed for the night, and my pick up is this evening, so I just decided to keep my Budget reservation instead.

Lesson learned, don't wait to the last minute.

They do become inactive mine did a few months ago. I called and my acct was reactivated and took 24hrs to complete. Dollar Express is a lot faster than the line at the counter

In the end, as we walked past the Dollar counter, there was one family in line. By then, I had already cancelled and kept my (slightly higher-priced) Budget reservation. So I would have been OK, but on arrival, no one wants to start out by waiting in a long line, so was willing to go with the sure thing and Budget Fastbreak.
