Early Entry ?

I have a question about early entry. I know only Fantasy Land is open. But do the parks hang ropes up so you can't walk around the park to other lands?

I haven't gone this time around that they have had EE, but when I went to EE back in the good old days for hotel guests, they had all of main street, and fantasyland open, and I think Tomorrowland too. And the other areas, were roped off until the appropriate time...adventureland, frontier land, etc. They just block off the entrances to the lands that are still closed off from the main hub.
