Early entry?

I have been told that, that is no longer avalible to onsite park guests. I could be wrong but that's what I have been hearing for the last year.

Your wrong. Early Entry ended somewhere after sept 11 and there is no estimated return of it or if it will ever return.

On busy days they'll open at 08:30am, but it is never announced or posted anywhere. That's why it's a good idea to be at the gate by 08:15am. Even if they don't open early, you'll be near the front of the line. Sometimes they open at 08:45 and then stop everyone at the bridge until 09:00.
No matter how it works, if you're in the park first, you'll get a front seat ride on Hulk with no wait, a re-ride, 5 minute wait for Spiderman, and no wait for Dr. Doom.

This is not a real early entry. It depends on how they are predicting crowds for the park. I've gotten in on one of these before it is great getting into the park with only a couple of other people that got up early that morning.

How am I wrong if I said it's no longer used?

No I mis-read his statement. When I first read it is sounded like it was still going on but not for hotel guests.

I thought it was only offered to Onsite Guests, that's why I said made it sound like it's not being offered anymore. I had no idea it was offered to the general pubic.

Either way it's no longer being used. So you have to enter at 9am standard opening time.

Yes EE was also offered to mult-park/day ticketholders( I think that is they way they worded it) right after IOA opened. Included with that they guest also got a limited number of FOTL passes for the big attractions(They had to be used by 10Am I think). It was a pretty good deal.

Yes they did have it I had the annual pass and I was able to take advantage of it several times.

I wish I knew about that in 2001, I would have used it.

Oh well too late for that.

The original form of Universal Express was early entry for multiday ticket holders. The park opened at 7 am and you got a cardboard paper that had a list of rides that opened and what times they opened. When you went into the ride, the ride op was supposed to check off a box. You were supposed to have only one spin on each ride (which was really only enforced on Spider-Man). It was great to go when the park opened at 7 am. You could do a lap around IOA or USF and be done before 9 am. There was no wait! The best part of this Universal Express was that at USF, you didn't have to sit through the Earthquake preshow. You just went straight to the ride. It was hard to wake up really early, but the benefits outweighed the pain.

Unfortunately, the program was discounted after a while. The program was designed to generate more sales in multiday tickets, which didn't happen.

We just got back and we went on Dec. 31st and we got into the park at 8:00am and they were open late that night but the rain put a damper on everything....
