After reading many sites and books on the strategies to see WDW I am convinced there is no perfect plan. Tour guide mike may help as will touring plans.com. My question is this.....And I am sure many of you veteran Disneyers will be a definate yes, yes , yes.
Would it make sense to go to the "other parks" on the days of extra majic hours? that seems to make sense to me ??? WIll take any advice at all

For the early morning EMH, I say go to the park that is having the EMH. When we were there in January, we did this a few times and it was great. Virtually no lines for any rides. Of course, we'd head out of the park around noon and find another place to go, but it really worked out well for us to ride the best rides early in the morning.

Another tip which worked for us is going the morning after an evening EMH. We were there over MLK weekend. Sunday was evening EMH for Magic Kingdom. So Monday morning, we hit MK when it opened and walked on every ride. We did notice the crowd levels increasing the closer it got to noon and by noon, we were leaving the park.

That is the strategy that we used the first week of October (except for the MK--we went for the extra morning hour, stayed a bit longer, took the monorail for a late "brunch" at Chef Mickey's, then went to Blizzard Beach).

A lot of people who went the same week posted that they thought it was extremely crowded (it was the last week of free dining and the first of Food and Wine festival) but we didn't think so. It was busy but with smart use of the fast pass and arriving at the parks prior to opening (my #1 piece of advice) we were easily able to ride everything. I think that avoiding the parks with extra hours helped with the crowds. I also think that if you are going at a low crowd time of the year that it won't make much difference.

Bottom line is you can always get a lot done in the first few hours. Get to all the theme parks at or before opening. The initial crowds disperse in different directions and everything is great for a few hours before the really big crowds arrive later. We have had great success doing this for regular and EMH mornings at all the parks.
