How has Extra Magic Hours changed since Magic Bands were 100% rolled out? In the old days, you needed to show your restore ID, but anyone can have a Magic band now. I remember when you used to have to scan your Key to World Card to get a wristband in the evenings, and then needing to show you card prior to entering the queue.

I'm assuming everything is on your Magic Band now and when you enter the park in the morning the system can differentiate you from a non-disney resort guest. What about the evening hours? Is everyone tapping Mickey at the fast past entrance?

For Morning EMH, they scan your MagicBand with a handheld scanner (prior to the actual entry touch points) which will show the CM if you have a Disney Resort Reservation linked to your MDE profile.

1. Yup. (Extra scan before entry as Michael said above.)

2. Not all rides have a FP+ entrance.
CMs at the ride entrances have handheld scanners that read the MB of guests to see if they are WDW resort guests.

Thanks! Just curious. We're heading there in April (Beach Club) and have not experienced this yet.

It was very easy. They had a CM with a hand held scanner scanning bracelets before you got to the turnstile that read yiur ticket.
