Early Entry to Parks/How does it work?

I just found out that staying at the Port Orleans we get early entry to specific parks on specific days. Does anyone know how early and how this actually works?

if you haven't already gone to allearsnet.com, I would highly suggest it. Lots of great information. I love to read the menus to different Disney restaurants!
Have a great trip, and enjoy Port Orleans, we stayed at the French Quarter in January and loved it!

You get to go in 1 hour early which is 8 oclock.
MK=Sunday and Thursdays
AK=Mondays and Fridays
MGM=Tuesdays and Saturdays
Epcot=Wednesdays

You get to go on certain rides and attractions 1 hour before everyone else.

Ooops! DS6 got in the way when I tried to post before.

I was reading about EE on allearsnet.com and saw this started in Oct '02. The website says that characters no longer stop at the various resorts in the morning. Rather, they have quite a few extra characters at the designated EE park.

When we stayed at the Poly in Dec '01, we enjoyed seeing Mickey, Minney and others at the resort in the morning. I just wanted to confirm that does not happen anymore.

Maybe I should post this on the resort board.
