Early Entry Prior to Check-in

Does anyone have any idea how WDW has handled early entry to the parks on your arrival day?

To clarify, I’m flying into MCO the night before my resort stay and am staying at a non-Disney hotel just that first night. The plan is to get up early and drop our bags at the Disney resort we are staying and then head to the parks, ideally rope dropping. Would I still be able to get in for the 30 minute early entry on that first day?

I know things aren’t fully known yet about how the new EE for resorts will work, but does anyone know the answer, or at least how it was handled precovid?

You are a guest of your resort from 6 AM (when the computers switch over to the new day) of your first day until midnight of the day you depart. Pre-COVID, you could take advantage of any early admission on your first day.
