We are going to US and IOA for 3 days in July. Harry Potter is a top priority with us.

During our trip, the parks open at 8am. We have early entry access so we can get in at 7am. Advice that we have gotten says that we should be at the turnstiles by 6:45. The hotel shuttle leaves at 6:15.

That's really early. Is it worth it?

To us it's not worth it.

We go in to Harry areas later at night. One it is very cool at night and not as crowded. Also we are pretty much walk on in single rider and less than 20 minutes regular for Gringotts. We enjoy sleeping in while we are away.

We have been here this whole week and the nights as usual in the summer have been less crowded and cooler.

I agree that nighttime is a wonderful time to be in the parks for nice temps and lower crowds, but we also thought the early entry mornings were fabulous, too. My husband and I agreed that it was well worth getting up early for the early entry. We did it all three of our mornings and loved it. It was a challenge to get everyone up and ready, but once we did so, being at the parks in the morning and riding FJ and Gringotts with low or no waits was worth getting up for. We also really enjoyed being able to be the first people in other areas of the park. As soon as it opened, we headed straight to Jurassic Park and enjoyed the area with very low crowds, and we were literally the first people in the area. We love being able to enjoy a near-empty park, if only for a few minutes before the crowds arrive.

Arriving early also gave us the ability to go back to the resort in the afternoon and enjoy the pool and put our little one down for a nap, while still being able to have plenty of park time. For us, the first and last two hours of park time were by far the best - for weather and crowds.

In all our visits we have never made EE once.......

Night time in Potter areas are beautiful, and usually less busy.

But lots of people swear by that EE in the mornings. Not for us though.
