Early Entry for WWoHP

My DH and I are staying on site for our honeymoon and I was wondering if someone can walk me through how the early entry for WWoHP works. Thanks.

You are allowed entry to WWOHP one hour before the posted park opening. All you need is your room key and your admission ticket.

If the park opens at 9, Early Entry is at 8am. If the park opens at 8, EE is at 7am. You'll want to be at the gates 20-30 mins BEFORE EE starts to ensure adequate time to get in. Do Ollivanders first while the line is still super short. Then do FJ, then whatever else you want. When you're ready to venture out, enjoy the rest of the park at your leisure using your room keys as express.

Your room keys will get you express access to all the rides EXCEPT: Forbidden Journey, Rip Ride Rockit, P-Flyers.

Does your WDW resort key work?

No, it must be a resort key from one of the Universal resorts, either the Royal Pacific Resort, the Hard Rock Hotel, or the Portofino Bay Hotel. We went to US for the first time earlier this week, and I have to say that when the parks were busy, which was every day except Sunday, those room keys were worth their weight in gold. For example, on Wednesday it was unbelievably hot and my girls and I basically walked onto a water ride twice in a row while persons without the hotel cards stood in a line with a posted wait time of 110 minutes. We saw so much more of the parks than we would have otherwise.
