I have searched for the answers, and know they're here already but I can't find them, so I am going to ask have to ask again....sorry!

1) Where is the Castle Tour line and is it open during Early Entry usually? We will be there June 22nd, 23rd.

2) Studios has early entry, too, right? If so, what rides are open for the early entry onsite guests?

3) What rides besides FJ, RRR, do not have express pass? I thought there were some "kiddie rides" that did not have EP the last time we were there?

1. It is just past the locker area, just inside the castle. That said, I think doing the Castle Tour queue doing this first hour is an inefficient use of your time. Much better to get higher-demand attractions done during this time.

2. I've read the occasional report that it does, but I can't confirm. At IoA anyway, all attractions in WWoHP and currently Spiderman are open during EE.

3. Attractions that do not accept Express are only four: Forbidden Journey, Ollivander's, and Pteranadon Flyers at IoA, and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at the Studios.

My younger child will not ride FJ so I thought we could take the castle tour while the rest of the family rode FJ. I know he'd love to see the castle but it sounds like perhaps I should save that for later.

Anyone else know if US has early opening for onsite guests and what rides would be open then?

Understand. Then my next suggestions would be either Ollivander's (in fact, this should be done even before FJ) or Flight of the Hippogriff during EE. When it is open, I've never seen or heard of the castle tour queue having a wait--this is why I bump it down on the priority list.

When we went in Jan 2012 there was only Early entry for IOA .They made sure to announce repeatedly that it was not for the Studios.Maybe if it is High crowds they do Early Entry for the studios too, but not during off times

i only am aware of ioa having early entry for the parry hotter section and spiderman ride.

if the studios has any early entry, i haven't read it on the website or read about it on the disboards.

I had planned to do this at EE as per advice I've read:
1) Olivander's first
2) Everyone then to FJ. Riders ride; others do Castle Tour
3) Visit any shops now before the crowds get in there
4) Send thrill riders to Dragon Challenge; others to Flight of the Hippogriff
5) Thrill riders decide on second rides. Line length & time will dictate whether this is standby, EP, or single rider.
6) Depending on the time, snack/butter beer at Hogs Head.

Thanks for the advice, everyone!

I was just going to say "no" too, but I know I read last year a couple of posters who claimed the very front area of US opened like 30 minutes early or something and it was called Early Entry. I just know if I said a flat-out "no", somebody would come on here and contradict me--so I left wiggle room. ;)

In that context, that sounds like a really good plan. Looks like you've done some homework. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! If US doesn't open early, then perhaps the thrill riders will go into IoA during EE on our US day and ride FJ once or twice before heading over to US. How long would it take to ride FJ back-to-back right at EE opening?

Maybe 30 minutes?

No early admission at Universal Studios. They may let you in a few minutes early but everyone would be let in at the same time.

On the Universal website, it isn't called early entry---so if you search that you will come up with nothing. It is called early park admission.

Please let us know how this worked for you....we (3 of us) are going in late Aug. (we are getting the early park deal too)....Have a great time!
