I have a PS book for Friday - the schedule says the MK hours ar 9-10 but that it is an early morning entry day. Does this mean we can get into the park at 8am? Our PS is for 8:10 - but now I am thinking we are going to be sitting eating while everyone is entering the park. Am I right?

If your PS is 8:10 on an EE day, unfortunately you're right and you'll be eating while others already in the park. When they give the park hours, they don't put the EE time because the park is only open to resort guests (or those with a PS) at that time.

Hope this helps!

Anyone staying at a WDW or Downtown Disney resort can enter the park at 8am. Due to the volume of people likely to arrive for Extra Magic Hours, I would recommend getting to the Magic Kingdom AT LEAST 30 minutes before your PS time. Allow enough time to get through security, through the turnstiles and still check-in at your restaurant 10 minutes ahead of time.

That is correct.

Thanks everyone - I am going to try to change my PS to a little later and take advantage of the park for awhile before we eat.

OK - they had a 10:10 PS available - for those with experience - will this give us some park time before we eat - and if the last seating is at 10:30 will the breakfast still be good - or will we feel rushed to get out so they can prepare for lunch?

Thanks for your help

Where are you eating?

If it's a character meal, I've heard that some of the best interaction occurs when you schedule a PS close to the end of the dining window. The restaurants aren't a crowded and the characters have more time to spend with guests.

I love Crystal Palace for a late breakfast. The restaurant is more quiet as it starts to clear out around that time as they start to prepare for lunch. We showed up 10-15 minutes late for our 10:30 PS over XMAS and it wa great! We had a quiet table in the corner, with no-one else seated around us but the characters still all came around. We even got to try a few lunch items as they had completely cleared breakfast away and started putting out lunch while we were there.

I think that's a good plan- and exactly what I have "planned" to try to do with our breakfast PS's at parks with EE mornings. That way we get to take advantage of the EMH morning THEN have the character meal as the "masses" are now in the park. :) (by masses- I mean all the guests in ADDITION to the resort guests that were already there)

How early can you make a PS for CP on an EE day? Will you have time to eat before they let all the EE guests in?
