When doing the early entry and going straight to Fantasyland-do the order of the rides matter as much? Is it still a mad dash to Dumbo, or do you recommend going to a different ride first?

I would say it was a toss up between Peter Pan and Dumbo. Dumbo is a slower loading ride that Peter Pan, so I would say that one first, then Peter Pan, then Matterhorn, if that is on your list, then Alice in Wonderland, then the rest in no particular order. Be sure to be there 30 min before MM time, and Have Fun

Of course it matters. :)

- Peter Pan first (always first).
- Dumbo (you'll get on the first or second cycle).
- Alice (or Matterhorn)
- Matterhorn (or Alice) & i like to do both sides of the Matterhorn.
- Tea Cups or Mr. Toad (or vice versa)
- Carousel/Snow White or Pinocchio (any order).

But if skipping Carousel/Snow White & Pinocchio for later (many do), then head over to Buzz or SM (& pick up a SM FP at ?:00 am). :thumbsup2

(note: check out the line over at Peter Pan after you get off Dumbo. Then check it again after you get off Toadie :scared1:. You'll be glad you rode it first.....(always first). )

:)

Peter Pan or Dumbo first and then the other second. :thumbsup2 Their lines only grow throughout the day. Dumbo is a slow moving line as it doesn't continuously load like POTC or IASW.

Definitely Peter Pan, we have been able to get on that and then still walk right on Dumbo. :thumbsup2

Last summer, I was in Fantasyland on a slow morning.

Every ride, except Peter Pan, had a 3 - 5 minute wait.

This was a slow morning, but the posted wait-time for Peter Pan was still 20 minutes.

"Peter Pan first... always first."™

HTH :earsboy:

I concur with the others. Peter Pan first, always.

Then again, I don't do Dumbo (but will wait if the kid wants to) so the tea cups and Alice are next on my list. lol

I agree...Peter Pan or Dumbo 1st!

Dumbo is slower moving and most likely whichever one you choose 1st, the other will have a 5-10 min wait.

We went middle of August and took advantage of MM and did Dumbo 1st then Peter Pan. Peter Pan had about a 5 min wait. Which is NOT bad! Usually mid day in summertime it's a 2 hour wait- seriously!

After these 2 rides, it really doesn't matter. You'll be able to do pretty much all of Fantasyland by the time the park is officially opened and people have made there way down to this end. After you're done here, I suggest you go to Toontown. It opens 1 hour after park opens and is not crowded first thing in the morning. You can see all the characters too! Then get out by 11am!

Have fun!

About how long to do think it would take to do these on a MM?

If I do this plan of attack for MM-when would we be done with Fantasyland (this will be Thursday, June 24th)?

Peter Pan
Dumbo
Alice In Wonderland
Matterhorn for me and possibly 6yo ds/carousel for dh and 2yo dd
Mr. Toad's wild ride
Snow White
Pinocchio
Storybook Land Boats
Casey Jr. train
It's a Small World

Will it be time for Toontown then, or should we do something else before? If we get in at 7AM, Toontown won't open until 9 right?

We usually go during slower times--but have had no issues finishing (in this order) during the 1 hour mm--and we usually do Alice 2x, and Snow 2x (in a row) as those are dd's favorites:

Peter Pan
Dumbo
Alice
Matterhorn
Teacups
Toady
Snow
Pinnochio

So, I would think you could do your whole list in 2 hours... Storybook boats would be the one I'd cut if I had to... it can be ssssslllllloooowwwww

Yes, Toontown opens 1 hour after the official opening of the park.

You can easily do most of Fantasyland and be at Toontown gates by the time it opens- provided you use your MM. So MM gets you in 1 hour early and that will give you 2 hrs before you need to be at Toontown.

For example, the park opens at 8am then Toontown would open at 9am. You use your MM and get into the park at 7am. That gives you from 7-9am to do Fantasyland, which at that time of morning is plenty of time!

One word of caution...be careful on the days you use your MM. You do not want to use your MM on the same day of Toontowns Morning Madness, unless of course you have Morning Madness tickets.

Morning Madness starts at the same time the park opens (at least I think it does!). So if you use your MM, this will not give you any sort of "head start" to Toontown.

Just to be clear: Storybook, Casey Jr., and IASW are usually not open during the MM hour. (Those three would open at DL's regular opening time.)

Last July, our experience was similar to Mommy2PrincessAbby's. (Last July wasn't very crowded, since both SoCal APs were blocked out.)

We got in line at the security tents at 6:30am, and from 7:00 - 8:00am we rode:

PP, Dumbo, Alice, Matterhorn, Mad Tea Party (Tea Cups), Mr. Toad, Carrousel, and Pinocchio (Snow White was down for a refurb).

It's probably better to ride Storybook before Casey Jr., but we rode both Casey Jr. and Storybook in less than 25 minutes (before 8:25am). And then IASW was a walk on. We sompleted IASW at 8:45am.

(Somewhere in there we started collecting FPs -- was it Space or Indy?)
Edited To Add: At 8:50am I got FPs for Indiana Jones. The Return Time was 9:30am.

And then we entered Toontown when it opened at 9:00am.

We had a really good morning. In fact, we had a ... Magic Morning. :upsidedow

I agree 100% with S.S. Columbia's touring plan & schedule (& if one of the adults wanted to run for a FP (at Indy or SM) while the other rode Casey Jr. with the kids, that would definitely work).

A key to getting the most out of MM is to be at THE FRONT of the turnstile line at MM opening. (which means being at Security at 6:30am) If you're one of the first 2-3 families in your turnstile line, you'll be one of the first on Peter Pan....& then everything will work smoothly from there. (but if you stroll into MM at 7:15am, there will be a line at PP & imo you might as well skip it & move on down the list :3dglasses)

Resist the urge to take pics on the uncrowded Main St. (unless you do it while you're "walking with a purpose" :lmao:)....remember.....it's Peter Pan first.....always first. :thumbsup2

(because dangermouse told me so:hippie:)

Thanks for all the help and advice. We shouldn't have much trouble getting up and being there early. My dd is a very early riser and California is 2 hours behind our time at home. Since it's only a four day trip, I don't know if she will get used to the time change.

We were there during Easter (super crowded) and I noticed that the line for Toad's was longer than for Alice. In my opinion, I would do Peter, Dumbo, Matterhorn, Toad's, Alice, Teacups, Pinocchio, Snow White.
