When the park opens for morning EMH hours do they start giving out FP's at that point? We are planning to hit DHS on an early EMH day so we can ride TSM but we are also wanting to ride the Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster. Probably won't happen all during EMH time frame so we are wondering when FP distribution happens.

In our experience, they do give out fastpasses, but the return times are normally not until after official park opening.

That's what we are looking for...FP to the two thrill rides for after the park opens. We plan to go straight to TSM as soon as the park opens and then go hit up the other two rides for FP. 2 for the rollercoaster and 1 for Tower of Terror. DD won't go on either and husband won't do Tower so it works out well.

If I were you, I'd get a FP for TSM, ride TSM, then go to ToT & RRC. The lines won't be that long for ToT and RRC, but the TSM line gets fast quickly and the FP are normally gone by 1:00-2:00.

Yeah, our thoughts were to ride TSM while EMH is going on. We are going to go straight there. We usually are not morning EMH people but we want to ride TSM while we are there this year and figure this is our best chance. We always have a hard time getting on RnR and ToT. So I think we will go get FP's after riding TSM.

How does TSM do during Evening EMH? We plan to be there the night they have Evening EMH and maybe we can get a chance to ride it again.

Here's our experience from our January trip:

TSM packs up fast in morning EMH. With being close to rope drop, we were able to get to TSM, grab a FP, ride it twice before the line was 40+ minutes.

We then went and rode both ToT and RRC with short waits and went back around 9:20ish to use our FP for TSM. Crowd-wise, (most) everyone is now rushing to TSM since it's the newest attraction, so the two thrill rides don't jam up as quickly. If you really want multiple rides on TSM - I'd use most of EMH for that and then go to Sunset Blvd - but watch the crowds on your trip prove me wrong. :)

As for all evening EMH - you normally have to be willing to wait out the crowds during the first two hours before you see a noticeable difference. The thinking is: more people are willing to stay out late than get up early.

I would also want to know about it. Some of my friends are having a trip next week and asking about that, I already know about it but I just want to make it sure. Glad to read this thread.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

Excellent advise :thumbsup2 I'll keep this one in mind for our next trip in May.

This was our first trip since TSM had opened and we were very suprised at how poorly the attraction handled crowds. As a slow loader (compared to something like Haunted Mansion) we were right behind the rope as it dropped and we were a 20 minute wait by the time we got to the attraction entrance (shows you how many people ran). By the time we rode and got off, the wait time was already listed at 40 minutes. We assumed it would only get worse - we we rode it again. Upon returning later in the day (around 1:00) to check the standby wait time, the fastpasses were alread for around 8:00 that night.

I'm sure this isn't always the case - but it taught us a lesson regarding how to approach this attraction.
