Here's our experience from our January trip:
TSM packs up fast in morning EMH. With being close to rope drop, we were able to get to TSM, grab a FP, ride it twice before the line was 40+ minutes.
We then went and rode both ToT and RRC with short waits and went back around 9:20ish to use our FP for TSM. Crowd-wise, (most) everyone is now rushing to TSM since it's the newest attraction, so the two thrill rides don't jam up as quickly. If you really want multiple rides on TSM - I'd use most of EMH for that and then go to Sunset Blvd - but watch the crowds on your trip prove me wrong.
As for all evening EMH - you normally have to be willing to wait out the crowds during the first two hours before you see a noticeable difference. The thinking is: more people are willing to stay out late than get up early.
