Early DVC ad circa 1992

Love the ad copy that mentions including park tickets, personalized planning, etc. Fast forward a quarter century, and now you can buy into the latest resort for $188 a point, no tickets, online planning, and if you plan to sell your purchase down the road, your buyer can't use any other resorts with those points. ;)

Initial buy-in $12535 (that may have been 250 points or so)

Adjusted for inflation would be $22584 (which only gets you 125 Riviera points today)

I think the initial minimum was 260 points. I know it was well over 200 points.

I’m not sure what the minimum was but it was way less than 260 points. We bought 210 points in 1994; I believe the price per point was $61. We really took advantage of those free park passes while they were available.

Minimum buy in was 230 points in 1992, when I purchased. That ad must've been from a little later in the year, after a price increase. $12,535 at 230 is $54.50 per point.

Sorry for my incorrect post. I never can remember exactly what the minimum was in 1997, only that it was over 200 points. We bought more than that (300).
