Wondering what the temperatures will be like on a November 30th sailing on Fantasy? It is stopping in the Virgin Islands for two days and Castaway for one day.

Wondering is it multiple days of sweater weather? Just in the evenings on deck? Not at all unless its a cold snap? Just the first and last night? (We are from the north if that changes your answer)

I have been trying to research it but weather site "temps" don't actually say what it would be like onboard and I can't seem to find any cruise reports from this late November/early December time period.

We did an Eastern from San Juan November 30th of last year. San Juan itself was definitely verging on hot and I never had long sleeves on. Our stops at St. Kitts, BVI, and CC were all gorgeous. Perfect beach/swimming weather. Low 80s. On pirate night, I wore a denim jacket to the deck party. A light jacket or sweater should be fine for evenings on the ship!

We cruise in Jan and I have never needed layers while on the ship. One time I did wear jeans during the pirate party on deck at night. It will be warm during the day on deck. We've done 4 EC cruises and I've always worn t-shirts and shorts while outside during the day. I usually bring a long sleeve hoodie and a pair of jeans, in case I need them, but really haven't, use them more for the flight home.

I'd be prepared for different weather. We went mid-Dec one year and it was windy and cool. Too cold to swim at CC and most of the time we weren't able to go on our verandah. Also - the dining rooms can get cold.

My sister cruised on the dream in the middle of December, 2018. It was too cold for them to go into the water. In all their pictures, they had jackets on :)

I ALWAYS have a sweatshirt packed and a light jacket not matter what time of year. The temps might be in the 80s even 90s but at night with the wind the decks can be cooler, but most of all because the ship is air conditioned. You can wear a sweatshirt over your day close and wear it multiple times. It is better to pack one and not need it. You can also buy them on the ship.

OP is asking about an EC cruise, so it's warmer since the ports are further south than those that the Dream goes to on it's cruises. I think the water at CC is chilly that time of year also, but in Tortola and St. Thomas it will be warmer.

We sailed the Eastern on the Fantasy in late December 2016. The weather was warm on every island we visited. The water was comfortable at the beaches on the Virgin Islands. The water at Castaway Cay was cold, but not freezing and it was easy to adjust to once you submerged yourself and swam in it for a few minutes. We did Pelican Plunge multiple times with no issues of being too cold to get in and out of the water, or to stand around wet, because the air was so warm. The only time the air was cool was in the late evening onboard while the ship was sailing.

We've also sailed Bahamian cruises in late December & early January, and had the same experience I described above in terms of the weather on Castaway Cay and onboard.

Can anyone share what the weather tends to be like on a Western? I'm guessing similar to above.

We're on the Fantasy at the beginning of December, coming from the midwest I'm hoping it will be warm!

Yes, the temperatures on the islands is warm. We sailed the first week of December last year and it was great. Be prepared for rain and cooler weather on deck at night. And as I said in an earlier post the ship is air conditioned, so you may want to pack something to wear over your close like a sweatshirt or sweater.

It's warm during the day and in the islands but can be chilly inside, especially in the theatres. On deck after dark it can also be chilly especially if the ship is moving. But daytime is short sleeved shirts and shorts or light pants. Water should be temperate.
