Day 9 - December 8th

Today was a day to sleep in, or at least until 8:30 again, which is pretty good for our kids. We had PS tonight at LeCellier at 5, so we were not going to a park until this afternoon. We woke up to another beautiful day! We put on shorts today, a wonderful thing to do in December, especially when you are from Minnesota. Ds was dying to go mini-golfing, but dd is a major pain when it comes to golf. So, dd and I dropped Matthew and daddy at
Fantasia Gardens, and we went back to the Marketplace. This was a much more pleasant experience than the last trip. It was much less crowded. We bought a few more things at the World of Disney store, including more pins. I was trying to find shirts for Alexa, as I had gotten Matthew 2 already, but I was having a hard time finding anything her size that wasn't just a t-shirt. We wandered through several stores and then to the Pooh store. Here I
found her a cute short sleeve shirt, finally. I had been wanting to go to the home store, since we were finishing a bathroom and were looking for a subtle way to decorate it Disney. I found what I wanted, and bought a washcloth so I could show dh to see if he liked it too. We then headed back to the Beach Club to have lunch. When we went back into the lobby I told Alexa she should ask the nicely dressed man (Art) if he had any Bugs Life pins.
She said "I don't see any mommy", but I said, why don't you ask him? She walks up to him, and he says "I think I have some business with you" She asks if he has any Bugs Life and he puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out the pin he saved for her from yesterday. Her little eyes lit up like a Christmas tree!!! She was so thrilled. Yet another wonderful moment of Disney magic. Dh and ds walked back to the hotel through the Swan and Dolphin area
and Matthew thought that was pretty cool. We got our suits on and had lunch, again, at Hurricane Hanna's. I just love this place. We hung out at the pool until it was time to go to Epcot. We walked over, and stopped for hopscotch again, then everyone went to stake out a place for the TON and I ran and got fastpasses for Test Track. I got them at about 3:45 and our fastpass time was 7:50-8:50. I can't believe how fast those go. I radioed dh and
he told me they had an awesome spot for the parade, which they did. Right at the end of the bridge in France, and they were there when they taped the line off. We loved this parade, thought it was just beautiful and moving. The puppets kept bowing to, and touching Alexa in her stroller. She thought that was so cool! Ds of course, wished they paid more attention to him. When it was over we went and sat down for a few minutes before we checked in
at LeCellier. Our PS was at 5, and we waited until about 5:35 to get seated. We had 2 great servers, one woman from Quebec, it was her first night, and Rita who was training her. They were so friendly and helpful and funny. I, of course, ordered the soup, and we all ate the breadsticks. The kids didn't' want appetizers, as they are picky, and Rita was trying to convince us to order more for us, since they were included in our MVMCP dinner
vouchers. We didn't order more though, 1 each was enough. I ordered the Filet Mignon and dh had the Prime Rib. It was good, but not great. I would not pay those prices for it myself, if I didn't' have the package. Dessert on the other hand was outstanding! Dh and I got the chocolate mousse cake, dd had the strawberry shortsnake, and ds the kids chocolate "moose". That was great, when they put it on the table I yelled, "don't touch it", I had
to take a picture of it first, it was so cute. They were fabulous, I wish I could have one right now. We headed to Test Track after dinner, and I had dh and ds went first. I went to the giftshop and got a TT t-shirt and a little car for ds's Christmas stocking. Again, TT had been broken down, so it took them a long time to get through with the fast pass, probably about 40 minutes. I had gotten a babyswap pass though, so when it was my turn with
ds, we went back up the backway again, and we were out in less than 10 minutes. We went to take some pics of Spaceship Earth with the tripod when were done. I just think it's so striking when it's lit up, and we got some fabulous pictures. Then we dragged the kids on Spaceship Earth. Neither were that thrilled, ds is afraid of heights, and was worried and dd of course, afraid of the darkness. I knew ds would be very interested in the story
inside, and of course he loved it. Dd liked it too, but ended by saying "it's not as good as Peter Pan though" LOL. We headed off to watch Illuminations, and it was more crowded of course, than the other night. We got a fairly decent spot, we stood back farther so no one was right in front of us. Of course as soon as it started a family stopped in front of us, then hoisted 2 kids onto their shoulders. I was not pleased, people can be so rude. I
had to move the kids over a little bit, and they could see pretty good. The earplugs made this even more enjoyable for dd this time. Again, we were in awe when it was over. I decided I must by the Millennium CD before we went home. We headed back to the hotel and got the kids in bed. Dh then had to run to the Boardwalk, because we needed milk though. Running for milk is a pleasant task though, when it's at the Boardwalk.

Le Cellier, TON and Illuminations. It doesn't get much better than that. :)
