Dd - Alexa almost 5, Disney nut just like mom, hates dark and loud things
MVMCP - December 7th
We got to the MK about 7:25 and the lines at the gate were absolutely huge! There was no shorter lines in some turnstiles like you usually find, just huge long lines everywhere. After we finally got in, we slowly weaved our way down Mainstreet. I was very unimpressed with the snow. It was barely falling, I thought the snow at MGM was much better. We couldn't go under the castle so we hung left to try to get to Fantasyland. We found a picture
place on our way there, with a huge line already. Dh said you might as well get in the line if you want a picture. The crowds were making everyone a little irritable. He said "tell me again why we paid extra to do this?". I said forget this line, let's try going to Fantasyland. When we got to Small World the light came on at the end of the tunnel LOL. There was a photo booth with no one in line at all! We quick got our pictures taken, then
went over and walked on to Peter Pan. Then Small World and so on, and so on LOL. We did every single ride in Fantasyland, and then went over to the speedway in less than an hour. It was great. The only ride we waited for was Pooh and that was less than 5 minutes. We waited about 15 probably for the speedway, another ride dd was not thrilled about, she thought it was loud. Then we discovered we thought she had to drive her own car (she had a bad
experience this summer driving her own bumper car), and once she found out she didn't she was happy. She rode with daddy and Matthew drove me. He just loves this, he feels so cool when he gets to drive! After we were done here we headed over and got fastpasses for Buzz then went and got our cookies and cocoa. There was no line here, so we timed that very well. Dh and ds, then went back to ride Buzz and dd and I went to get a place to watch the
fireworks. We got a perfect spot right at the end of the Tomorrowland bridge. I was waiting for dh to call on the radio so we could tell them where we were. Unfortunately Buzz broke down when they were on it, and by the time they got off the fireworks were just about to start, and they couldn't across the bridge. Ds was able to duck down to see it, but dh missed most of it. Alexa and I had a great view though, and we got to see Rudolph fly right
over our heads! I had put in her earplugs for this, only to discover they weren't loud at all. I've never heard fireworks that quiet. We had seen part of the parade while we were eating our cookies and decided 11:15 was going to be to late to start another. We bought one of those skywriter lighted things from a vendor and dh and the kids played with that, while I did some Christmas shopping at the Olde Christmas Shoppe. We headed out after this
and both kids fell asleep on the bus. It was a great weather night though, we hauled along our jackets, never needing to put them on! All in all we enjoyed the night, but I don't think I would pay extra to do it again. We thought the Christmas atmosphere was better at MGM.
