Early Dec. Crowds...

From many previous years on these boards, I always read that the first couple weeks in Dec. are much lower in attendance than the week before and during Christmas. Can anyone verify this? I'm getting a little worried because all I see now is that all the resorts are "Sold Out".

Hi, d96j97. Everyone has always said that the first two weeks of December are usually lower in attendance.

I alway travel to WDW in the first two weeks of December because of the same reason, plus the lower resort costs, and mainly for the holiday decorations.

It seems like every year after September 11th, it has gotten a little busier than the year before, but I still love it.

I guess more and more poeple are not only not as afraid to fly and travel, but they can afford to vacation, too.

It seems like every December the resorts fill up with conventions and the like.

And I guess the weekends would be a lot busier since the local Floridians will be off of work and can enjoy the holiday festivities.

If you didn't go during the first two weeks of December, when would you go to WDW?

I think that this is the perfect time to enjoy WDW with the cooler temperatures, and the holiday decorations and for the most part, less crowds than any other time in November and December.

If you have never been in December, you will love it.

We were there the 1st week of Dec 2003, and thought the crowds were pretty light. We just got back home from a 1st week of Oct. trip, and the crowds were a lot heavier than early Dec! Plus the weather is so much cooler in Dec; my husband says next time we go it will be that week after Thanksgiving again....plus MVMCP starts that week, and that is lots of fun!

Hi! I am soooooo excited, we booked today for Dec. 11-14th and also got tickets for the MVMCP. It has been a dream for us to see the festivities at Christmas and now we're doing it!!!! Even if the crowds are a bit heavier, I'm mainly going for the beauty this time.........although.........my 2DSs have other plans I'm sure. Thanks for the quick response! And no, I've never been there in Dec. How is the weather?

This is our favorite time to go. Although the crowds were lighter in January, we love the holiday decorations and goings on.

I've been once in October, but I thought that it was too hot, which of course made the crowds seem bigger and definitely more crabby. This will be our 4th trip in early December and it is our favorite time to go. Enjoy!
